Re: How did everyone pick their BM Dresses?

I took my 6 girls to RK Bridal and told everyone to pick up any dresses they wanted and we would try them all on. As we went through them, there was one dress that everything else was being compared to. When we found nothing that was better than that dress, we knew we had found the one. everyone agreed on the same dress and I picked the color. To be honest, I like the dress but I don't love it. But the bottom line is, they're going to be the ones to wear it and I wanted them to be happy.

I have 11 girls (4 that live OOT) so I brought 5 of them with me (including the MOH) and had them pick...it was painless, they actually all loved the dress and it was one of the first ones they tried on--they all have different body types and it looked great on all of them! I then e mailed the pic to the other girls and let them know we had chosen it--they won't order until Dec. though!

I had sent pictures of gowns I liked to my bridesmaids so they could see the styles I liked.

When it came time to actually start looking at gowns, I let them pick which ones they liked. My only suggestion was I wanted something the gowns to be a shade of blue and preferably 2 piece.

Luckily, my girls all agreed to wear the same gown (although I gave them the option of wearing different tops and bottoms). All liked the same one and we were good to go!

I wanted my girls to be comfortable and I wanted to give them the freedom of picking something they liked.

I took two BM's with me - the two with totally different bodies. They both tried on the same dresses and we chose the one that looked the best on both of them.

I let my girls pick from a pre-selected collection of tops & skirts...they had 12 tops to choose from & 3 different skirts.

They all had on different dresses, but from the same designer & from the same dye lot.

ETA, I had 7 girls and my MOH... I picked a dress for her, but I knew she would love it!

I have 4 girls, I went shopping with 2 of my girls first and we decided on 2 different dresses. I then went with my other 2 BMs and let them decide which of the 2 dresses they liked the best. Once all of my BMs decided on a dress I ordered them all together.

All of my girls are OOT - I picked them and hoped for the best. I got lucky - they all approved and 2 have already tried on and loved the way it looked.

Good luck - it isn't always so easy.

I brought my MOH my sister shopping. I spotted the dress and she loved it, so we both picked it. Luckily all the girls loved it too.

I have 3 girls and I picked them. MOH wanted one with sleeves, I didn't like it so she is wearing a shawl.

My MOH (sister) and I picked them out together and gave the BMs two choices to choose from.

Re: How did everyone pick their BM Dresses?

My biggest concern with the BM dress was picking a beautiful dress that they would wear again. I only have 2 girls which made this a lot easier. (The more women in the bridal party, the more opinions you'll get.)

I knew that I wanted tea length. (My 1 BM has been in 3 wedding parties already and has 3 dresses that she'll NEVER wear.)

The three of us went shopping in NYC together. They tried on the dresses. They said it was my decision, but I did pick a dress that they both liked and both looked good in. I also based the decision on how the dress would look with my gown.

As to the color. I was given swatches of different colors I liked after they had finished trying on the dresses. I picked out about 5 colors that I liked. I showed the swatches to them and got their opinions. Then I picked the one that I liked. (It turned out that we all liked the same color the best so it was an easy decision).
