How did everyone pick their BM Dresses?

I picked them...

It was not by any means easy or fun...But in the end I got what I wanted.

(This was after looking through countless pictures of dresses and deciding what was important to me in a BM dress and what I really didn't want for my BM's.)

I only have a total of 3 girls, I found about 10 that I liked, then emailed all of them to them, and they all emailed me back with the ones they liked they best, and they all had I in common! But then we went to the store to try it on, and it wasn't so nice, and theyjust happen to aee another that they liked, and I did too.

It was all very easy and painless! Took about an hour

I brought 4 of them to try on a bunch but had narrowed down what I definitely didn't want (straight skirt, 2 piece, sleeves). They narrowed it down to 2 and then I put those two up for a vote and they picked it.

Oh I am so happy that is over! I only have 3 girls so I had 'shopping days' where they tried on tons of dresses and picked their favorites. Finally I was like 'pick one today or I am picking it for you' but everyone was happy in the end.

I have a total of 8 girls so what I did was I narrowed it down to 3 dresses I e-mailed them to all of them, then they all went to look at them (I told them where to go) and luckily they all agreed on the same dress. But I have to say I have a great bunch of girls they are really very good to me but they are also honest.

I let all my girls (7 includeing a MatOH and MOH) pick their own dresses. All I said was the designer, material and color. They all ended up with strapless but they got to pick what they felt looked best on them.
They all have different tastes and body types so I didn't want to pick what I felt would look best on them.

I surfed the web for pics of gowns I liked and took my MOH shopping and had her try on the stuff I picked out and some things she liked. We had a certain look in mind. I knew it would be better with less girls. Trying to get 7 women to agree on one dress style would have been insane. Plus my girls were more than happy to have me pick the gowns for them.

It wasn't fun.

Mostly because I couldn't take them to try on. It was a lot of long distance back & forth with ym MOH.

She wanted to try everything on, so I'd picg things here, she'd find them in San Diego & not like them & find other things, & then I'd find them here &t hen finally I found one here, picked it & pretty much said this is it. But she did go try it on in San Diego & thank goodness liked it. Or at least said she did.

I then showed my other BM the picture & she said she liked it.

I guess I was more selfish than most brides -- I picked the dresses and didn't have any of my girls even try it on before they were ordered. I just told them the dress they should order and the date to order by!

I only had 3 girls though and they were open to whatever I decided.

I had 8 girls. I let them all pick their own but I picked the color and the designer.

I picked 3 that I liked and the girls picked from there. I am lucky because all 6 girls wanted the same dress.

I only have 2 girls. We went to 2 places and the 4th or 5th dress they tried on was the one.

Their only request from the beginning was no strapless, so that narrowed things down and I knew I wanted black, so that helped too.

Ultimately it came down to what was most flattering for the two of them.

I'm really lucky - they are so great.

I tried to let the BMs put in their imput. When the majority except for 2 BMs wanted the same dress (which happened to be a dress I loved), I just had to make the decision and go with that dress. I have 7 girls, and if 2 of them wore something different it would have looked pretty weird . . .

I went shopping w/ my best friend-matron of honor...
I was looking for blue dresses, that was what I wanted so I told her NOT to try on any other color but blue... She was trying on EVERY COLOR but blue. She tried on a Dessy dress in Claret and I LOVED it! So that's how I picked it.. Dessy 1943 in Claret.

I picked them....I knew the dress I wanted and then when my MOH and BM tried them on they LOVED them....thank goodness!

My sister (MOH) picked them out. I told her that she can pick out any dress that she likes for the BMs but the only thing I ask is that the design carry that dress in any color or shade of green.

I had in mind what i loved.... i went shopping with one of my best friends (BM) and she tried on EVERYTHING
i told her i wanted a train and i wanted it to be strapless (also it had to come in silk taffeta)
sounds like a lot but its not

she chose several dresses (2 out of her top 3 were the ones that i had chosen)
i brought FSIL shopping and she tried on many dresses but ended up loving the same ones

i brougt all others shopping to try on different ones but also the ones we chose to see if they liked them
they did like them so we ended up with them
IT wasnt so bad

1 or 2 said something about the price that was it

I just have a MOH. I told her the color and she went to the bridal shop alone and picked out something that she liked. She called me from there so I could see the dress on-line and give her the okay. I couldn't imagine telling her what she should spend her money on. I've been the victim of the ugly bridesmaid dress one too many times.

I brought all 5 with me (one is in Vegas)--first place we went to they found one--all they knew was the color I wanted--I let them look around the store--they found one and showed me--and I agreed--
