Sorry, this is going to be long, but I'm still so excited that I have to share!!My FH proposed at Disneyland!! I am a HUGE Disney fanatic. I worked at WDW for years and am still nuts about all that stuff.

Anyway, we went down to DL for the 4th of July. We had such an amazing day. It was so crowded for the fireworks, which was expected. Jaime wanted to get closer to the castle, but I ensured him that there was no way that we could go further. People were arguing, cursing; it was insane!

After the fireworks we went on some more rides and after the last attraction we started walking towards Main Street. Jaime said he wanted to walk up by the castle. On the right side of Sleeping Beauty's Castle there is a little pathway that leads to a wishing well, waterfalls and fountains with marble statues of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It is so pretty and peaceful. Jaime and I talked about how perfect the day had been and how much fun we were having. Jaime asked if I wanted to go get ice cream on Main Street and of course I said yes (I cant never turn down ice cream!). He then said, 'I have something to ask you first'. That is when he got down on his knee and asked, 'Will you marry me?'. After getting all the 'Oh my Gods!', 'Are you serious?', and 'Are you kidding me's out, I said yes!!

It was so romantinc and so perfect. It was all how I had dreamed for as long as I can remember. I found out later that the reason Jaime wanted us to push up to the castle for the fireworks was because he wanted to do it just before they started. Thats okay though because it was so amazing!! I hope you didn't mind me going on and on!!

Not sweet or creative... he was trying to be slick by picking out rings in the store for 'the future' and I was really tired & cranky & didn't like any of the rings he picked.... so he yelled... JUST PICK AN F-IN SETTING SO I CAN PROPOSE TO YOU ALREADY
The whole store turned around & I got all red in the face.

The funny thing is we never did find a setting we liked so FH went to another jewler & made me one himself.

ETA: he originally wanted to do it at the Eifell tower & we were supposed to go there for V-day this year, but FH was afriad to go to France with all the UN BS that was going on, so we went to the poconos instead.

It was my birthday present and I chose to have my birthday present after dinner at home (I thought I was getting a book, not a diamond ring). I was sitting on the couch wondering why he was making a big production over my present. Now I know why!
