This past March, at the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Took me totally by surprise!!

I couldn't believe he traveled with my ring!!

Hey teachertime my brother aked my FSIL to marry him at the top of the Eiffel Tower too! He called me to tell me and he was sooooo nervous about traveling with the ring, he kept itin the safe in the hotel room and she wanted to get something out of the safe and my bro would run and get it for her.

I came home from work and he was sitting in the LR surrounded by lik 30 candles and rose petals scattered all over the place!

We went to chop down our Christmas tree...he walked ahead and hung my ring on a tree...called me over and said he found the tree we should chop down...when I saw what was hanging from the tree he dropped to his knee and asked me to marry him!!!

He wanted to do it at the top of the Eiffel Tower but it was night and I wouldn't go up!!! He tried for 30 minutes to convince me to go up but I kept saying 'we'll go tomorrow when we can see the view'. So finally he did it at a bench right under the tower. All these people started gathering around (because I was balling my eyes out) and congratulated us in french!! It was very funny!

He bought me one of those three diamond necklaces. I always said I didn't want one cause they were so expensive and everyone had one or at least it was over commercialized.

So he bought me one, but had the last diamond removed.. I was soooo touched.

As I was enjoying the necklace (it is pretty), he says.. 'I know what you were thinking.. but I had them remove the diamond for this..........

I was speechless.

He had the Jeweler remove a fat nearly diamond shaped stone.. for a leaner marquise.. what I've always drewled over. The side diamonds are teardrops.. I am so giddy just looking at it.

He picked it out himself. No help from me. And it's unique.

Ok, I'll shut up... I'm making a fool of myself..

That's too funny my brother also had to convince FSIL to go to the top because she is deathly afraid of heights! It took him a while but he got her up there!

WELL FI AND I BOTH REALLY LOVE CHRISTMAS TIME. WE WERE ON OUR WAY TO SEE THE LIGHTS AT JONES BEACH ( WHERE HE PLANNED TO PROPOSE UNDER THE BEAUTIFUL WHITE LIGHT ARCH) HOWEVER FI IS A REAL JOKESTER SO WHILE WE WERE ON THE WANTAGH PARKWAY HE CHANGED HIS MIND. HE ACTED ALL NERVOUS AND TOLD ME HE HAD A FLAT TIRE. SO OF COURSE I TOLD HIM TO PULL OVER. AND HE DIDN'T AND OF COURSE I GOT MAD AT HIM LOL!! HE ENDED UP PULLING OVER NEAR THE TOWER AT THE END OF THE PARKWAY. PROCEEDED TO JUMP THE CURB AND OF COURSE I YELL AT HIM 'WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING YOU HAVE A FLAT' WELL HE GOT OUT OF THE CAR TO CHECK TIRE. MEANWHILE I AM IN THE CAR CALLING HIM AN IDOT AND VARIOUS OTHER THINGS LOL!! I GET OUT TO CHECK OUT THE SITUATION AND HE IS ALREADY DOWN ON HIS KNEE AND HE POPPED THE QUESTION. IT WAS SO FUNNY ONE MINUTE I WAS CURSING HIM AND THE NEXT I WAS CRYING AND IN SHOCK. WE NEVER MADE IT TO THE LIGHT SHOW WE ENDED GOING BACK TO HIS HOUSE AND BOTH OUR FAMILIES WERE THERE WE POPPED A BOTTLE OD CHAMPAGNE AND CELEBRATED. WE LAUGH EVERYTIME WE TALK ABOUT IT I FELT SO BAD I WAS YELLING AT HIM. ENDS UP HE WANTED TO PROPOSE AT A PLACE THAT WILL ALWAYS BE THERE. SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS!!!
