How did FI propose to you

All i did was scream in the apartment. We had gone out afterwards to get his check and then we were going to our favorite bar with his aunt, uncle and cousin and in the bar i walked in and screamed.

Though last week I went out with aliaspook (laurie) and we walked into Flowerama and I saw a girl trying on wedding dresses and I got a little teary eyed watching this girl look at herself in the mirror

I cried when FH proposed. I was really surprised because I was not expecting it. My FH really threw me off guard.

It was the day before Xmas Eve 2002 and I was suppose to work. Well, after the nightmare weekend I had at work, I just needed a day away from there, so called in. I called FH up that afternoon, told him the great news that I would be off for the night. He said, 'well lets hang out' Of course, I said sure, come over. We decided on dinner and maybe movie. I took my sweet time getting ready and he showed up. I was blow drying my hair and little did I know, he was asking my Mom for permission. So I come out of the Bathroom and he is walking around with a Macy's bag in his hand and says to me 'Hon, I brought one of your Xmas gifts over, so I can get one of mine early' Laughing, not thinking anything...I was like okay sure He had been begging me for weeks to get a gift early. I figured why not, lets exchange one gift. Well, he hands me the bag and says 'you go first' There I am standing in my room thinking nothing of it and in the bag was a Fossil Box. I was like 'oh, I wonder what this could be' (Instantly asuming it is a Fossil Watch) I open the lid and remove the paper work on the watch and behold my eyes I see this HUGE ROCK I just kept repeating 'Oh my God, Oh my God', nothing was registering and I couldn't believe it was happening. He had sliced a slit into the cushion that protects the watch and placed the ring into it. It was very creative and I was so impressed with his way of surprising me. I had no clue and started running round my house screaming. He did get down on one knee and asked me and I said 'yes' (after he snapped me out of the shock) I was all very cute and exciting. We didn't get to dinner until 2 hrs after expected, because of all the phone calls I needed to make. It was def a great day

Cute Guys can sure suprise us, can't they Sometimes you would think they have the brain of a walnut, but yet they sure can work up some creative way of making our lives so very happy

My FI and I had been away for 4 days at a dude ranch for my grandparents 50th anniversary (i still can't thank him enough for going!! not how he wanted to spend part of his summer vacation!!) Our 3 year anniversary was a few weeks before, so I was a little upset I had no ring. Little did I know while we were away, that the ring was sitting at his house. He roomed with my Dad and brother (poor guy!!!) and I had no idea that the first day there he talked to my Dad about marrying me and asked his permission. The next day when we were back, we were both tired and just had plans to hang out -- get a small dinner and maybe movie......or so I thought! After being away we just wants to relax, it was August and about 90 degrees so i just put my hair up and put on shorts and a shirt. My nails weren't even done!! My sister, who know about it called him the second I left the house and said 'She has no idea her nails aren't done' I had been getting my nails done alllllll the time waiting! We went for dinner at a pizzeria and on the way home he said he thought we had a flat (my car-he was driving) I freaked, got out looked at the tires, got back in ready to yell at him and he was holding this little cowboy teddy bear (from the dude ranch) With a ring around the bandana on his neck. He said 'look isn't he cute' and i didn't see the ring for about 1 sec and then I noticed it and froze!!!! Then I started screaming and crying and he took it off and out it on my finger and asked me to marry him!
Now, I looked a wreck from crying and we went back to his house where his family and my family where with balloons, champagne and cake. He totally shocked me!

Ill make a long story short. After 6 years (eight years now) this is how it happened in a nutshell!
It was my 21st birthday. He put me in the car and told me I had to cover my eyes and no peaking. He drove to the park near my house and walked me to the same park bench we were sitting on when he asked me out. He told me I could look after he sat me down on the bench.I opened my eyes and He handed me a dozen long stem roses. Attached to one of the stems was a beautiful Heart shaped White Gold diamond ring. He took it off the stem got down on one knee (I started crying) he asked me I dont remember what I said or what he said all I knew is he put the ring on and it was gorgeous. After I calmed down I said 'did I say yes?' He said 'Yes you said YES'

These stories are so romantic compared to mine, but here it goes! It was July 9, 2002, FH's birthday. I made reservations to stay at the Marriott. We went there, checked in, and then changed for dinner. But as we were leaving, he ran back in the room saying he needed his wallet. Then I took him to the Cheesecake Factory. After dinner we went back to the hotel because I wanted to go swimming. We got back and I started to complain because the hotel was freezing. When we got to the room, it was even more cold, so I grabbed the comforter from the bed and wrapped it around me. He looked at me like I had five heads and said, 'What are you doing?' I told him I was cold. He said 'There's something on the bed.' I looked but had covered it when I grabbed the blanket, si I didn't see anything. I told him that and he said, so lovingly, 'You're an ass, look.' And he pulled the blanket. I turned around to see the box and pick it up. When I turned to him, he was on his knee. I started shaking and opened the box. The ring is beautiful! Then he said, 'remember when you asked me what I wanted for my birthday? Well, all I want is you forever. Will you marry me?' Of course I said YES! It isn't as romantic as everyone elses, but it was just as special!

Heres mine: We had planned a trip to Florida just the two of us because we have been under a lot of stress, He had just started to get full custody of his 7year old daughter. He won full custody (thank god) so we felt bad leaving her. So we all went. I had a feeling that he was going to do it in florida, but we had planned to spend a night in South Beach , so I thought for sure that is when he was going to do it.

Well fi is a wise a$$, so when we get on the plane he went to get me a blanket, so he goes up front and comes back with no blanket- ( He acutally went up there to ask the pilot to make an announcement) So a few minutes later the flight attendent calls Joseph up front - me thinking that was another flight attendent - I didnt think anything of it. So he starts to get up and says oh that is for me and starts smilling. so im like yeah ok-

Well half way into the flight, the pilot comes on and says my name and to light my call light- I look at him and Im like oh my god- what happened something happened to my family, they lost our luggage,. So I was afraid to do anything , they call me again and then they call his name.

The pilot says Joseph would like your hand in marrigage blah blah blah. and I look at him and he and his daughter are holding the ring. Ok so I start crying and the pilot is like well what is the answer?? The whole plane is standing up looking for me. I said yes and the whole plane starts clapping people from the back start singing summer wind . It was great. The gave us champagne.

The whole trip everyone we meet, his daughter SId was like look we asked Karen to marry us on the plane and showed everyone the ring.

Mine also is not that romantic, but here goes. We flew to Florida to meet his 100 year old grandmother (who is really an unbelievable woman, very smart and on the money). She gave us my engagement ring (it is an heirloom), and my FI proposed on one knee in front of her. I knew it was coming, but I still cried. Since he knows it was not that romantic, he's proposed about 10 times since to try and make up for it!
