How did he do it??!!!!!
I was wondering if anyone wanted to share their proposal story.....
I was wondering if anyone wanted to share their proposal story.....
I have to share... the first part was pretty funny... we live in Phila, and I tell him everyday how I used to horseback ride, and I want to do it again, so he took me up to the Poconos for the day to go horsebackriding, but we ended up going MULE riding on a cheesy farm with all these little kids, going in circles for an hour, freezing our butts off! So we came right back home, he made me dinner, and then we moved in front of the fireplace with a bottle of wine, and as he downed half a bottle, I figured something was going on... and then he asked! BUT, the best part of all... he planned a suprise trip for two days later... 48 hours after he proposed he whisked me off to the Swiss Alps to go skiing at Club Med for 10 days... it was absolutely phenomenal... and when I ask why he didn't just propose in Switzerland, he replies, 'well, if you said no, it wouldn't be fair that you would get a free trip out of it!' ha ha ha ha
Wow!!! He did a wonderful job, kudos!!! My story is kinda cool, it doesn't involve the swiss alps, it is a little more humble.... but long, We were at my grandparents 50th ann party, I saw Jake, my FH take my dad aside and I got all excited. It was also our 6 year anniversary and we were heading to Rhode Island for the weekend to celebrate. Later that night, my sister called and told me that he was just asking my dad to help one of his friends out with a ticket, because my dad is a police officer, and I started to cry. He had asked for my hand in marriage, but they were trying to keep it a secret until I told everyone so he made up a lie to tell my family. I wanted this sooooo badly. Later on that night, we were waiting to get on the ferry to Rhode Island and there was actually a bride and groom in full dress sitting next to us. I was like 'when are we going to get engaged', and we started arguing, he said if I wanted it so bad that I would ask him(meanwhile he had the ring in suitcase the whole time). The next night we got back from dinner and he told me to wait in the bathroom downstairs he told me not to get my hopes up, that it was a little surprise, but nothing major. Twenty minutes later, he opened the bathroom door with a dozen roses. I followed him up the spiral staircase which he had covered with rose petals, and he lead me into the master bath. There were candles everywhere and he had the jacuzzi going with rose petals in that. He had our song playing and he told me that I was his inspiration. He started to get all choked up and I had no idea why. Out from behind the toilet he grabbed a ring and got down on one knee and proposed. All I could do was cry, I didn't even answer him for like 10 minutes. After that we went on the balcony and danced under the moonlight, then like the romantic that I am I locked us outside and we had to have someone come and let us in, I didn't even bother to explain the display of roses and candles!!!!!!!
So sweet... :)
