How did he propose?

How did your fiance propose?

My FH planned to take me to the same place at which he gave me my promise ring when we just started going out (by Tavern on the Green on a horse), but my mother, inadvertently, ruined it for him by planning a family dinner on the same day (it was my birthday ). So he took me by the River Cafe instead (we were running out of time because we had to get up really early the next day). I was very cold, so he gave me his jacket, but I felt a box in the inside pocket (he forgot that he put it there). Then, he was so nervous that he forgot the speech that he'd planned, and instead of saying, 'Will you be my wife?' he said, 'Will you be my fiance?' Actually, we've been engaged for about 4 years now. 2 years ago, he reproposed at a big surprise birthday party he planned for me in front of all of my friends and relatives. It was sweet!

He proposed while we were on vacation. we were having a 5day getaway to montauk. The 1st day we were there he kept telling me he wanted to go see the sunset on the beach so we went. he gave me a piggyback ride throughout the beach and it was really romantic then he let me down and got on one knee and said 'I was going to wait until the last day but I couldn't wait any longer' 'will you marry me?' I knew he was going to pop the question soon but I had no idea! it was very sweet~

He picked me up from work and had dinner and candles waiting for me at our apartment. (he never cooks). At the end of dinner he got fortune cookies for dessert. The ring was inside one of my fortune cookies :)

He got points for that....:)

at our timeshare in aruba!!! my sister came who is my MOH she was resposible for the ring, she did a great job hiding it I HAD NO IDEA

After cooking me a delicious lobster dinner in our apartment. He said he had dessert for us and put a bakery box on the table in front of me. I cut open the string and opened the box and the ring was inside!!!

I turned to him and screamed ARE YOU SERIOUS!????????

he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him and I was crying and laughing. it def is the best moment of my life

We had gone out the night before (which we never do...) and had a total blast together. The next morning he kept trying to push me around when Im trying to sleep, I got him to leave me alone for a while but he started to do it again and he kept playing with my hand and then all of a sudden I feel a ring on my finger!!! All he said, was why dont you open your eyes? I had my freak out and he asked me, will you marry me. It was sweet and low key at home and was the happiest moment of my life.

he popped the question at the METS game in shea stadium! it was sooooo romantic and i was shocked! and very happy!

wow - i'm happy to see all the 'low key' at home proposals! i thought in this day and age of the 'big set up' i'd be the only one yup - my schmoopie doo made me dinner while i was at a yankee game during the day. he said 'look I made you dinner, it's Colleen Day!' i said - ohhhh nononono colleen DAY should be a full day! but dinner looks yummy!!! (thats a little inside joke, whenever we do anything for each other , i.e. i get him a drink, he brings me a pen, we declare it 'Colleen Day' or 'kevin Day') sooo he then said - right in our lil kitchen - 'well, i want everyday to be 'Colleen Day' ...' and down on his knee he went.

Ugg - we dream of this moment all our lives girls...why do most of us if not all go def and start squeeling yelling etc and MISS all those wonderful speeches! :) :) :)

HIs dad gave us tickets to Nascar in the Poconos and his hotel suite because he couldn't go. So we drive up to this tiny town in NJ and his best friend and his fiance were with us and we stopped at a liquor store to get some alcohol to party with that night and the fiance says 'ooo I love champagne, lets get some' and I'm thinking this girl is a weirdo. So then when get back to the hotel and he says 'we need ice, come with me to get ice' So I say okay, and then he's like 'forget the ice, let's go for a walk by the lake' And I'm thinking 'why is everyone so weird today?' so we go and basically I'm yapping about how pretty everything is and looking around and I turn around and he's on one knee and pulls out a ring and says 'will you marry me?' and I say 'Oh my G-d!! Really?' hahaha

The cute part was apparently he had planned to do it the next weekend at the spot where we went on our first date, but the jeweler called him right before we left for NJ and said the ring was ready and he took it as a sign, since it was his mom's b-day and she died a few days ago.

We were in Hawaii on vacation. FH had been throwing me off the trail saying that he needed to save money to buy the ring so I wasn't suspecting anything. On our first full day there he said we should watch the sunset on the beach by our condo. So we were watching the sunset and talking back and fourth. FH and I are always very complimentary so when he started saying how wonderful I was etc, I thought nothing of it, until he got on his knee. My response was something like 'what are you doing?'

My FH is a big skootch, he loves to drive everyone nuts and is very playful. We were in Aruba in Sept and we went shopping downtown at all the different jewelry stores. He let me try on a bunch of rings, but then he kept commenting about how he doesnt plan to buy me a ring for at least another year or 2 (we'd already been together 3 years). So I started getting upset. When we got back to our hotel, I was crying and asking him how come I didn't know that he wanted to wait so long, etc. He apologized and said he shouldn't have taken me ring shopping, he didn't know I'd get so upset, etc. I couldn' t seem to calm down and he got mad! He started cursing and telling me to call my best friend or someone who would be able to calm me down since clearly he could not. Anyway, I calmed down eventually and we went to dinner at this outdoor Italian place where you overlook the ocean and sunset. Just after the sun went down, we ordered our food and then he went to the bathroom. I began to eat my appetizer while he was gone, and the next thing I hear, 'Excuse me, Hun Buns.' I looked over and he was down on 1 knee with the ring box opened and he said, 'Will you marry me?' I nearly died! I was like, 'You mean I had a nervous breakdown today for nothing??!' He was like, 'Yup!' He is quite proud of himself, to say the least LOL! And it makes for a great story!

He brought me into the city to see Mama Mia on Broadway. Then we walked over to a little restaurant called Angelo & Maxies. After dinner and some wine, we decided to split a desert. While we were waiting patiently the desert to be served, FH asked me if I had turned my cell phone back on ( I had turned it off during the play). So I turned my phone back on and realized that I had a text message from him... At this point, I'm completely confused to why I had a message from him, when he's sitting right next to me. I open the message and it says.....'I'm so lucky to be with you. You are the most amazing woman that I've ever met and I'm so excited to spend the rest of our lives together. That is of course....If you will have me?' Now I'm really confused.... I read the message two more times and then look up...To find Brian looking up at me, holding a little black box. He opens the box and says... 'Well.... will you spend the rest of your life with me? I was so shocked- I didn't even say yes! I just kept saying 'OH MY GOD' over and over again! Finally I pulled myself together and said YES!!!!!! Then we kissed and did all the mushy stuff! The staff brought over champagne!!! Then we spent the rest of the night celebrating with our families! <3

We were on vacation in Punta Cana, DR and the last day, we were on the beach really late at night and it was raining. We just sat there, talking Then all of a sudden, he got on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was perfect!
