How did i end up with 2 of the same items on BBB...i make FH look at what was purchased..but i dont look..and he said he got 2 of the same item!?? how does that happen? lol

We ended up getting 3 sets of this Pizza maker thing from Macy's lol. No idea how that happened either.

It could be that someone bought it for you and then liked it so much that they decided to buy on for themselves too. Then at check out they just rung everything up together - that happened to me with my vacuum lol

It could also be that people are stupid and they didn't notice that that gift was already fulfilled. (especially if they bought online). It has one column for requested and one column for fulfilled... if both columns match, the item is still on the registry list online.
In the store, you only get a list of what's left.

If you scan it twice or maybe people buy u TWICE the same gift...
if not, SIMPLE, remove ONE if ppl hasnt bough both of them

It usually takes a day for the item to be marked at fulfilled if they bought the item in the store. So if they happened to buy it on the same day, it wouldn't show as being fulfilled. I had a few gifts that I got double of because of this.

I know some of our gifts, people found them cheaper at another store and bought it there, so it never came off the registry, so someone else picked it up

i was registered at macys and I got two kitchen aids. People just don't read it correctly and I guess didn't see that it was already fulfilled!

It happened to me for one thing at Macy's.....two people bought it literally within the same 20 minutes, and the first purchase hadn't come off the registry yet

I got a TON of duplicates. Sometimes people shop and don't hand in the paper so it doesn't come off.

THIS, and if someone buys something else for themselves along with the item from your registry, that item gets added to the registry. I was trying to figure out why a set for plastic cups for $1.99 was on my registry until a friend pointed out that the number requested was 0 and number received was 1.
Either that or you're getting two of the same item. At least some BBBs do cash back for returned items!
