I called and asked them and then made cute little cards for each of them and mailed them.

My BP is all out of town, or rather they're all in town, I'm out of town. So when my sister came to visit me we spent the afternoon together dress shopping and we went to lunch and then went to the paint-your-own-ceramics place down the street and I picked up a picture frame I had painted for her that said 'Be My Maid of Honor' on it.
The rest, I mailed them cards that I had written a little thing (different for each one) about how much they mean to me and how it would mean so much for them to be with me at my wedding. They loved them! They cried, read them to their mothers, etc.

I called to tell them that I was engaged and I asked them at that moment. I was so happy, I couldn't wait!

However, I suggest that people think long and hard about who they are going to ask. I asked one of my friends that I wasn't friends with very long, and I feel that I made a poor choice. I am not as close with her now as I was, and I feel like if it wasn't for the wedding, we would never talk.

There were lots of things that I jumped in to that I should not have because I was so happy.

I presented each one with a bo-q of fresh flowers and handed them a card with a woman's silloutte on it.
in the card was 2 pictures of us---one from the past and one recent

in the card i asked

it was fun to make the cards. For my cousins and stuff their cards has pics of us really little and for my HS and college girls, I chose funny ones for the 'past' picture. A keepsake for them from me
