How did/will you word your donation card if you also gave a favor?

We're making a donation but we're also giving our guests some chocolate for their eating pleasure. How should we word our donation cards?

In lue of a favor,
and in honor of our fathers

we have decided to make a donation in their names to the American Cancer Society and American Heart Association.

umm yeah lol

haha i just finished reading ur subject. If we give something like hersey kisses then i'd put something like....

They are close to our heart, and this kiss represents how we both feel to have each of you here to celebrate on our special day.

somethng gay like that lol,.

i plan on doing something like this too like a tiny bag of red M&M's with a white ribbon and put a tag of some sort on it that says something like: A donation was made in the name of the Bride's father, his name, to the American Heart Association. I don't want to put in lieu of a favor because i'm also giving them a tiny favor. HTH

we made a donation to St. Jude's and they gave us the choice of scrolls or bookmarks that had all the information on it already to give to guests. i thought a lot of bigger charities give you something to give to your guests so that you don't have to print something up, but i could be wrong.

we also gave out chocolate truffles!

I am not writing 'In LIEU of a favor' since I am giving chocolates...

So...

There will be a tag attached that says:

In honor of our guests, a donation has been made to ____XXX_______. Thank you for sharing in our special day!
