How did you and FH meet?

I figured since we'll all be here for the next 2 years, might as well find out how everyone met their hubbies to be....

My parents and FILs ironically met at a wedding of a mutual friend and were seated at the same table. The four of them hit it off and both FH and I had gotten out of pretty bad relationships and of course my mom and his started asking if the other had a son or daughter and his mom asked my mom for my email address. The next day I get an email from FH and we communicate through email and phone for a week and a half and then go on our first date. We hit it off right away on the phone and in person....needless to say, two years later we got engaged!

We met when we both went to Dowling....we were in classes together for a year or two before we actually started talking (we both know exactly where eachother sat in the classes we didnt talk to eachother in!) Then FH moved his seat next to me one day and we started talking alot and became really good friends and then all of a sudden we were going on dates!!

ours isnt really romantic..me and my friend went out one night and were way to drunk to drive home. she called her friend to come tow our car and us..lol..fh works there also. he happened to be there getting back from a Bachelor party. we just kinda hit it off!! not to romantic like everyone elses..haha

Mine is embarrassing...

We chatted on AOL IM. I was hanging out with guys here and there and he was trying to date some girl. So, we talked online for almost a year on and off about stuff like that and I would give him advice. One day, he had the nerve to ask out that other girl and she said no. So, we met up and hit it off.

I usually don't admit that we met online.

We've known each other since middle school (we were in band together and played the same instrument). We're high school sweethearts but it was during a high school gym class (square dancing) that I thought to myself that I could see myself going out with him. I told my friends and they had his next class with him, blabbed to him that I liked him and the rest is history.

We met in junior high at the rolling skating rink haha, a big group went and then while talkig realized we were in the same lunch. Sat at the same table all year, he would tell me about his girl troubles and girls he liked he secretly had a crush on me but I couldn't really see him 'like that.' Then one day in high school I was like hey wait I do see him like that! Seven years later....

We met when I transferred to NYU. He was the person who had to tour me around before I auditioned for the music program. He opened the door for me and was very sweet...we were friends for a year and a half and then I finally asked him out! (he swears that was all part of his plan to woo me...I think he was just too shy!) and here we are now over 3 years later!

Me & FI met ONLINE!!!! Not through one of those dating sites, but just by me being bored one day and looking up people in my area through the AOL profiles LoL And the funny part about it all was that he didn't even live in my area anymore, but still had it in his profile...

I still joke with him till this day... 'If you never put that in your profile and weren't online at the time, you woulda never met me... You're stuck with me now... Poor thing...'

Well, i love this story. My Fh was in an aol chat room and i was realli bored that day so i went in the chat room and there wasnt anyone really talking so i left and started surfing the web. All of a sudden i got an IM from him and then we started talk and then i worked up some balls to ask him for his number and i called him and then we were on the phone intil 2am sunday morning so then the next day i had to get up early to go help me sis with wedding stuff and the day was gettiing old and i thought to myself he isnt going to call me at all and then at 5pm he called me on sunday. Then next day(monday) i started my new job and that same night is the day we might at his softball game and when i showed up he walked right up to me like he already knew me. He asked me out the next day and here we are 2 yrs later engaged.

Fh and I met through a mutual friend. I went to High School with her and he grew up with her. It was the best thing that has ever happened to me!

ME AND FH MET ON FRANCIS LEWIS BLVD LIKE 6 YEARS AGO AT THE CLEANERS PARKING LOT. LOL

we met about 5 yrs ago, we use to work together and he wanted to go out w/me pretty much since we met, lol, but we didnt start going out till about 6 months after we met.. we were friends first and the more we started hanging out outside of work, the more i really got to know him and i eventually just fell for him, lol

Met him at a bar in woodside queens. I had just broken up with my ex about 2 months before that for cheating on me...after a 3 yr relationship i was in no mood to date anyone. But he just walked into the bar. I always joke that I had beer googles...maybe I did. But anyway we became friends and now we;re getting married. People used to tell me he's the rebound guy! Maybe not I kept him around lol
