How did you ask people to be in your bridal party?

This may have been asked already, but...

Did you already ask people to be in your bridal party? If so, how did you go about doing it?

For those who didn't ask yet, when do you anticipate doing it?

i made cards with poems in them and had personlized ' will you be my bridesmaid?' cookies made

The cards and cookies and bags ARE sooo cute! I wish I had thought to do something special- I just asked the girls when I saw them (and for my FGs I asked their parents).

i did the same thing. we were talking about weddding stuff and i jsut asked them. i wish i would have thought of something cute like the cookies or bags.

i will be giving everyone the will you cards along with shirts and personalized vera bradley cosmetic bags. (pics in my album)

I just asked my MOH when I saw her. She did the same for me with her wedding, so I didn't think to do anything special.

Those are really cute!! I'm debating making the cookies myself because they seem a bit pricey online.

I haven't asked the girls yet because (although I'm pretty sure about the decision), I would hate to have second thoughts afterwards. A friend asked girls really quickly and then had to rescind because she got a little 'bridesmaid crazy'! Maybe I'll make that my 'end of the summer' goal.

I wrote out cards to each of them, most of the girls were near tears after reading it. I guess I got kind of mushy on them. If I could do it over again, I'd probably wait till the engagement party and present them all with gifties.

My wedding party is huge though. There's no one I regret putting in, but some days I just wish it were really small. I look at bridal suites and wonder how everyone is going to fit in there!!

you should give your bridesmaids personalized ornaments if youre going to ask them on xmas!! that would be so cute!

i feel the same way sometimes!! we have 8 on each side so thats 16 plus 5 kids...21 total...insane!
