I am sure this has been asked a million times, but just out of curiosity what did everyone do??
When I finally ask them I am thinking of getting them shirts that say Bridesmaid on them and a cute card.
ETA: Fixed subject to make it a little clearer what i was asking

i made one of them drive me around for days looking for the perfect dress.
the rest is all a secret b/c one is a LIW member (Kellybean) and i'm sure at least one of the others is a lurker. lol
ETA: if you meant how did we ask our bridesmaids... i called my MOH and my first bridesmaid. No frills there. I talked to my nieces in person. And i asked Kelly in her car during a long day of dress shopping. we told our FG, FH's goddaughter randomly one day when she asked if she could be the FG, we said SURE. our RB TOLD us that he was our ringbearer. that was that. lol

I didnt do anything special. I would have liked to give them cards.
My e-party is coming up and now I am thinking that I should present them with BM shirts.
I think it would be cute!

I didn't do anything, and I never had anyone do anything special for me when I got asked all the weddings I've been in. To be honest, I'd never even heard of making a big deal of it until I came on this website. I actually didn't even ask any of mine. My best friend knew she'd be my MOH, my other 3 closest friends we've all been in each other's weddings so it was like, automatic they knew w/o being asked that they'd be in mine. They other 2 are my sister and FSIL and they knew as well w/o being asked.

I got mine tank tops made with Bridesmaid or Maid of honor on the front and our wedding date on the back....I also found cute poems that ask for girl to be your bridesmaid or you MOH I printed those out on pink rosed paper and put it in a picture frame.....it was cute and they really seemed to love it

I framed pics of me and each and gave them that with a notecard asking. 4 of my BM's are family & I had an old pic from when we were kids all together dressed up... The other two are friends and I used pics from as far back as I could.... Each has them up in their place & it's cute to see when I go there. The frames I got at Michael's - 4x6' and they were approx $6 each.

Since we all live in different places and I couldn't see them in person, I sent each one flowers with a card asking...they all called super-excited when they got them which was great! It was totally worth it...

well we had a little engagement get together at my moms - just for family. and since i have soo many girl cousins & 2 small guys i asked them all to be in my BP. I bought these cute green/pink blanks cards (my color theme) and wrote Will you be my Bm or MOH or FG or whatever. I promise I wont make you wear an ugly dress :)
Kinda corny but hey I got excited :)
I also sent a card to my cousins daughter in canada, she's 5 and shes always like Mommy is there any mail for me? and my cousin is always like no. So one day she asks and the card came from me - she was sooo excited, calling her grandma and telling all her friends at school that shes gonna be a flower girl. at first my cousin had to show her daughter her wedding video and explain to her what its all about. and then............. i emailed her a picture of her dress. and shes like 'it looks like cinderellas dress' omg how cute. I love kids!!!!

I made up a little bag with there name. Bought puzzles at the craft store. Painted the question and made them pretty. I also gave them ring pops like I was proposing to them. So they had to put he puzzle together, they all loved it!

i just came out and asked them. lol...i think it was unclear that i was asking my SIL b/c she seemed unsure.
i asked everyone before i found out about LIW. i wish i hadn't b/c so many of you did such cute things to ask. i wish i'd thought of something like that instead of my awkward 'so would you maybe wanna be one of my bridesmaids or something?'.
oh well...they were excited anyway...

2 i didnt actually ask cause it was a given lol...my MOH jess was asking who i picked and she said ' oh is dawn your MOH?' i was like um no...she said who did u pick yet? and i said YOu silly!!! lol
Jeri ( armyofbabies) i first asked her to be a BM i went to ireland and bought her a stuffed lamb doll and made a little scroll telling her what a great friend she is and blah blah blah lol than at the end it said will EWE be my BM lol ( EWE=female sheep ) Then she was helping me with so much i decided to make her a MOH too cause i love her and she is so awesome so i called her with a kock knock joke and said OMG i gott atell u a jok knock knock, whos there? maid of honor, maid of honor who? maid of honor YOU! lol corney but she was shcked and very happy. My other BM cindy i made a cookie thats said will you be OUR BM? and it was for me and Jeri asking her
then my other friend shelly i just asked at the diner lol ( so did jeri we share 3 BMs ) lol
