How did you ask your bridesmaids?

I am sure this has been asked a million times, but just out of curiosity what did everyone do??

When I finally ask them I am thinking of getting them shirts that say Bridesmaid on them and a cute card.

ETA: Fixed subject to make it a little clearer what i was asking

My friend (who happens to be a member and one of MY bridesmaids as well as my being one of hers) had one of the cutest ideas I have seen. Check it out in her album. Her member name is ChiefMT.

In my ALBUMS you can see the cards that we created and then hand delieverd them to everyone on the same day

i asked 2 of them yesterday they loved it~!
they thought it was so sweet! they had tears in their eyes~

I can’t say quite yet because I haven’t asked them all yet and one is a bride on here.

One i said you know ur my MOH right (at dinner)
One I said you know ur a bm right.(over the phone)
Another i said over AIM , i got engaged and want u to be in my wedding
Another two i took out to dinner and asked

I didn't do it any special way. I just asked them.

Mine wasn't really planned out. We wer all out at a bar and i said, i quote 'Hey before we get too drunk, I need to ask you guys something'. It was really cute because they all said yes and kinda got emotional about it.

some i asked through email and others i asked face to face.

I didn't know this was such a special thing. I freakin' text messaged all of them the night I got engaged! Ha ha! I suck!
