Hi, I was wondering if anyone has a cute way to ask your friends/siblings to be a bridesmaid in your wedding. Thanks!!!

Re: How did you ask your girls to be a bridesmaid?
I was boring. I called and the first thing I said (I actually think I left a message because she was on vacation) was that 'I need a Maid of Honor.' It was the night I got engaged. I had to email one of my BMs because she is in Africa in the Peace Corps.
They do make cards for asking though. They are kinda cute.

I didn't do anything cute. I emailed all of the girls to ask them.

I made a little card (I actually go tthe idea from here) I found a poem (on here as well), glued it inside blank cards I bought from Michael's then decorated the front of each card. They came out so cute...I have to make a couple mor so I'll post pictures when I make them. I think a few 06 girls made cards so I'm, sure you'll get some great ideas from them!

I'm going to send each girl a card - they're blank on the inside, and have pictures of girls in dresses on the cover (scored them at Marshalls!). I'm not going to write a poem inside, just going to express how special their friendship is to me and how I always pictured them sharing my wedding day with me as a bridesmaid. Most of my BM aren't in NY, so sending a card works the best If they were all in NY, I think I'd take them all out to lunch and ask them there.

I made cards...i bought blank cards (periwinkle in color with matching envelopes b/c thats our color) and bought these adorable clothe 3-D dresses and snowflakes to decorate the cards and wrote a personal message to each one...I did the same for the flower girls only with flowers and flower girl dresses. I bought all the supplies from Michaels. I think they came out really cute!

I actually did something cute...well I thought it was cute....
I sent each of them an invite to a party at my house in there honor. I wrote this really nice poem and asked them to come to a wine and cheese party at my house.......So They all came over and we had such a nice day! We ate and drank a lot! And I asked them to all be my bride maids....

I just asked each one when I saw them. Nothing too exciting and then when I joined LIW and saw that there were cards etc. I was bummed!

I'm making cards too - Leese inspired me. I have 12 girls, so I've been busy crafting! I may ask them individually, and then leave them at their seats at the Eparty this May. This way they can all compare them b/c each one is differnt. Can't wait to finish so I can post them!

Re: How did you ask your girls to be a bridesmaid?
I made 'Will you be my bridesmaid' cards...Each one included a special message to each girl...Out of my girls, I have different relationships & different reasons why I wanted them to be next to me on that day...I even did a card for my FG

I ordered cards off of ebay, in the color dress I want (cranberry/wine). Then I have a poem on one side and a special note on the other. I still haven't asked anyone yet. I'm going to wait a bit so I have no regrets. Here's a picture, but mine are a different color dress
Re: How did you ask your girls to be a bridesmaid?
I made my own too.
BUT i just saw that in target, they have note cards with dresses on them.... so cutie and you don't have to go through all the hassle. If you want to print the inside, you could print it on vellum and use double sided tape or photo adhesive to put it in.
I think it's nice to do something special!

I didn't do anythin special - just asked each personally (except for my sister - MOH - who lives in Boston....she always knew, so I didn't have to ask). Coincidentally I asked the last of my BM's last night - and it was so anti-climactic.....after 2 bottles of wine in my living room -we started talking about the wedding - and I just blurted it out that I wanted her to be a BM - - then we cried and hugged and broke out the bride magazines to look at dresses!
