Re: how did you break down your
I basically just figured out how much I wanted to spend on each vendor. For example, I only wanted to spend $1,000 on limo, $1,000 on flowers, etc. Then I looked at my budget and added up all my vendords and if my total was over I just adjusted the vendor amounts.
Seems strange but it really worked for me. I knew what things were important (photo, RH) and what things were not so important (limo, flowers).

I did the same thing.

there is a budget calculator on the knot that tells you the % you should allocate to each part of the wedding and how much $$ that is for your budget. I didnt use it initially but its pretty on target with how much I actually spent vs. how much it suggested I spend.

I have a budget worksheet in excel that´s great!! It includes everything down to pantyhose for the day of. It´s really complete. I just went through that and put the amounts that I thought I would be able to spend. My amounts prob wont work for you because our budget is so tight (on the worksheet it came out to $16k but in reality we will only be able to spend $10k so I´m trying to see where I can cut back!!)
If you want a copy of the worksheet FM me your email address.

Re: how did you break down your
i just gave myself a budget when i first started planning. then i went from there and it all fell into place. there are some things you will want to spend more money on and others you won't really want to splurge so just take it slow and work it out with your fh and price stuff out on this website. all of the girls here are soo helpful in letting you know the average cost of something...this helps tremendously when trying to plan with a certain budget in mind
