How did you cash your checks?

Do we have to fill out deposit slips for all of the checks or is there an easier way to deposit them all at once? I feel like this will take a very, very long time--not that I'm complaining about cashing checks

We took our checks to Chase and opened a new Joint checking. The personal banker took care of all the deposits and helped us with what to sign..etc.

PS I had one close call...a guest called to tell me not to deposit her check but it was too late. Luckily it did not bounce.

Ok, thanks girls! I will just sign and bring them to the bank and see what they say. Hopefully my bank can be like yours and do it for us. Right now we have an account at Astoria Federal but FH has been wanting to open one at Citibank.

we went to rosyln and opened the joint account. we had to sit there and sign eachone and put the account number on, but they did the rest.

We set up a joint checking account the same day we cashed the checks so we did it that way.

Yeah, I know I'm late...but I heard that if you have Chase and an IPhone, you can take a picture of the checks and it'll be deposited by the bank!

A lot of banks don't have a problem with you depositing the checks... if you want to straight up cash them, they might hassle you a little, but if you just deposit, there should be no issue.

At Citibank you just sign them and take them to the teller - you dont need to fill out ANY deposit slip!

Hey ladies ..sorry to crash but im a teller at chse n i think i can be of some assistance..

u shouldnt have problem dep the checks if u r both on the acc even if it still says ur maiden name.. u should sign your name both ways in the back
dep on the branch they might mke u bring the marriage cert n change ur name..

also u just list the check in the back.. u dont have to make a ticket for each LOL tht would take forver... if u can add them up on a calc or comp n print out a list n total would be ok to give to the teller n then u only have to write the total on the dep tickett..

we went direct to the bank manager who helped us deposit everything! the only 'manual' thing that we did was to sign the back of the checks.
