I have a siser who I am not really close to and my best friend since Junior High.
My mother wants me to choose my sister. Is this the best decision?

I agree--why not have two? I don't have a sister, so I chose my best friend, but I don't think having two is a big deal.

For me it was easy...I have a twin sister...she is my MOH. I am not having any other bridesmaids.

I had a similiar problem - although i am close to my sister, she is only 15. i thought she was too young and i have had the same best friend since forever. but my mom and my sister were upset at the idea that i might choose this other girl. in the end i chose my sis and so far, it has been the best decision i ever made. she is really excited and i realized that friendships come and go but my sis will be there forever. and she has been so helpful!

Me too. But if you're friend is more like a sister than your sister is, choose her. I have known a few people that don't choose a relative because their friends have been there for them more so than their sibling. It's all about what you feel is right.
