How did you decide on your DOJ? (Especially if you purchased from Etsy)

How did you decide on your DOJ? (Especially if you purchased from Etsy)

There are so many options, it's driving me nuts! I have so many stores favorite on Etsy and I can spend hours just looking at all the necklaces and earrings and headpieces... But it's so hard to know what is going to work best with my dress. It also doesn't help that I don't have any pictures of myself IN my dress b/c I didn't take any when I tried the dress on, and it still hasn't come in yet (and it's been almost 8 months so I'm getting aggravated, but that's another story).

There are a few pieces that I like that aren't shown on a mannequin or model, they're only shown on a backdrop so it's hard for me to imagine what they'd look like on me. Also my co-worker said to make sure it doesn't become 'too much.' Too much what? Is a headpiece, earrings, necklace and a bracelet too much? How do I know when the jewelry becomes too much LOL. Any advice?

I picked two sets and will decide closer but I know I will go with the 2nd one. I got from zales....I don't know why it wont give me an option to post it on a reply. The first set I got from wedding factory direct.

I used close ups of the beadwork on my dress to judge. I'm bad though and didnt order anything. I had to actually see it in person as I purchased it. I kept going to Macysaand they let me try on the sample dress with the jewelry I bought which helped a lot too.
You get as much or as little as you like! I want to shine so I'm getting a lot. I've also seen other brides with plain dresses and plain jewelry who have looked stunning. My opinion is it should fit you personality. No one will expect anything less than me having a ton of sparkle bc thays me. My feeling is that on your wedding day you should be a dressed up version of you and not lose yourself, your style, or your personality!
