How did you decided on your briedsmaid dress color??

I'm having so much difficulty picking a color. My bridesmaids are all very different, some are tan/olive/yellow undertones and olthers are pale/fair/pinkish undertones. Did you try and pick a color that would look good on everyone or did you just choose what you liked best????

I always thought I wanted periwinkle but I got married in October and everyone kept telling me it wouldn't go. I still think it wouldn't have mattered, but I went with Euro Wine since it was fallish. I loved the color so I'm glad I did. To stay away from the real fallish theme, I decided on pink, white and wine for my colors.

I wanted a fall color...was gonna do burgundy but went with bordeux (its more of a wine color)...its really pretty :)

I was going to to purple becuse it is my favorite, buyt becasue I am getting married in the summer, I wanted something bright, that would stand out so i went with coral

i narrowed it down 2 colors and let my BM's decide. the majority vote wins.

Actually, the florist helped me out but I really loved the color because it was different

I am getting the same color. I want to have a pink/orange color scheme.

Well, I wanted to go with a wine color originally, but honestly, it didn't look good on all of the girls. I have girls in the BP that are every size from 0-18, so it was hard finding a dress that they all looked good in.

We ended up finding a lazaro dress that made all of them look beautiful, but they didn't make that dress in the wine color. The sample was in black and since they all looked so great that was what I ended up picking. The dress and color really flattered each and every one of them. I NEVER thought that I would go with black, but now I am glad that is what I picked. I can do any color flowers that I want and the dress is definitely something that they can wear again.

Jacylyn- I am attaching pictures of my BM dresses. This is also Bill Levkoff in Euro Wine and it was extremely flattering on all the girls. Its a two piece also which is always nice. I went through Bridal Reflections in Massapequa and I have nothing but great things to say about them so far. (Don't want to jinx myself! lol) My dresses are even in 2 months early!!!

When we went to order the dresses, I had my BM's take a vote & then we went with the majority...I was too torn between the Bill Levkoff's Celadon or the Euro Wine...We ended up with the Euro Wine & I could not be happier

First, I love your colors from the enagement party, that's the pink/green I would love to do!

As for trying to match the room at the hall, one thing that I love and I am going to be doing with my room is white table cloths and napkins and white chair covers. This creates a 'blank canvas' and therefore a perfect background for any color.

This may not work in ALL rooms, but it's a start.

I used euro pink by bill levkoff and it worked on all of my girls who are all different skin tones.

I would love to let my girls vote but I'm concerned because 3 of my bridesmaids our kinda far (Albany, Buffalo and Arizona) but I think my MOH - my sister who is fair will probably be the most difficult to match a color to (she has pinkish undertones and I waned to do pink dresses) I'm sure I cold wait to see what looks best on her.

That's a good point about the chair covers. I was planning on doing chair covers and that would make a pretty plain room. The only color would be the rug which is mostly black.

PeanutPrincess - I love your BM dress - do you know what style # they are?

I can't thank everyone enough - this website is so great I really don't know what I would do without it - especially since I'm the 1st of my friends to get married in the area!!!

I decided I liked red, then second guessed myself and wen through the entire rainbow and then went back to red.

I guess it was just my first idea and it stuck.

I also knew I wanted to carry red roses.

My favorite color happens to be blue but with a April wedding, I decided with a pink. Not sure which tone yet but, I just love the way pink looks especially in a tea length

I chose an azure blue because I thought it would contrast nicely with orange and yellow flowers (which are my favorite colors, but not as complimentary to all skin tones). Technically its 'celestial blue' by the Dessy collection...the picture on the website of the color is horrendous, but i was pleased with the sample color. I think all but one of BM has blue eyes also, so I figure this color will really make their eyes pop!
