How did you feel.....

very excited and overwhelmed. After going to a few places I finally found it on Thursday. I have to make an appointment to go back this week to get measured to officially order it!

Honestly? I was just happy to get the dress shopping over with. I wasn't having an 'it's the ONE!' moment... I didn't cry... I didn't jump up and down b/c I knew at that moment THIS was my dress. i went back and forth between it and two others for about 20 minutes and then finally realized that this one looked the best on me.

It wasn't until later fittings, etc. that I was really excited about it. Unlike a lot of girls, I HATED dress shopping. The more I tried it on and the closer it got to my wedding day, the more I loved my dress.

Don't feel like you're abnormal if you don't have an 'it's the ONE!' moment. A lot of people have it built up in their heads that they'll know the minute they see it or try it on, but it's not that way for everyone. If you have trouble, this is what I'd do: When you narrow your choices down, take time to just 'be' in the dress. Stare at yourself in the mirror and even hold the stupid fake bouquet they give you, try on a veil or two with it... and see which one makes you look the best and feel the most bridal. Pick that one -- and you will love it more as time goes on!

It was the only one that my brain immediately made me picture walking down the aisle toward my FH in. I saw myself there, and I saw his voice, and I started tearing up.

Yeah, I'm one of the people who had the whole 'IT'S THE ONE' moments.

Before I went dress shopping, I looked on the internet for plus-sized wedding dresses. I found the Alfred Angelo website. I looked at a couple of the dresses and found one that I fell in love with. I found out the name of a bridal salon that carried the dress. I went to the salon and showed a picture to the woman there. She took that dress and similar ones into the dressing room. I tried on the one from the website first...and absolutely 'KNEW' that it was the one. I didn't try on any of the other dresses!!!!!
