How did you find LIW?

Not sure if this has been done before, but how did you find out about this site?

For me I am forever grateful for Google.

I am pretty sure I googled Long Island Wedding reception halls

I really honestly can't remember. I must have been doing a search for reception halls and LIW came up under something.

somebody referred to liw on theknot.com and I checked it out - I've been hooked ever since, and rarely visit theknot anymore

I was at a wedding showcase and they were the first table (and now it dawns on me that they were probably hosting it). They gave me a tote bag and a mug (but I'm still about 300 posts away from a t-shirt!!). My FH was excited because they gave him a mug too (one of the few places that recognizes a groom might be excited about his wedding as well) and he logged on and told me I should sign up and check it out! That is what made me sign up.

I also remembered that one of the girls that worked at my job when I first started was BEYOND ADDICTED to the site. So much so that the internet was banned in that part of the building (still to this day).

By chance! I did a search for something wedding related and the topic came up as LIweddings...I also stumbled on NYCityweddings.com by accident and I was shocked when I found that site too

I was searching for Limo companies and it linked me here....I bookmarked the page but didn't realize there were chat rooms until one very fateful day in September (I think) and I am forever grateful.

It's a running joke between FH and I as he calls it my crack site. I'm like whatever. It's a very healthy obsession!!
