How did you find/pick your officiant?

We did not have a rabbi or anything that we would use.. My dad went to a baby naming a couple of months before we got engaged where this cantor was officiating. My dad suggested we call him when we were looking-- said he was young, very personable, etc.

We met with him and really liked him.. Also, he just got married himself, so we felt like he could really be able to provide some insight, etc.

Plus- he said he would do a VERY SHORT ceremony.. and we can use whatever kind of rings we wanted!
