Your shower hats?? I went to marshalls today with mommy and I bought a straw hat for my shower for the girls to put the bow/ribbons on!! I was just wondering though, how did you guys attach the bows to your straw hats? Did you have to staple them?? Or use a hot glue gun? Thanks!

Re: How did you girls make??
usually a bm makes it at the shower. with staples or tape on a paper plate with the bows from the shower gifts, I have seen it done on a straw hat too, with staples.

yea I've seen them done on a paper plate as well but I like the way they look on a straw hat better! I was just wondering what I should supply my bm's with, I guess a stapler would work better!

i believe my bridesmaid brought tape with her to the shower. but the restaurant or wherever you have ur shower should be able to provide tape and or a stapler ! my girls started the hat from a paper plate. i think they brought it with them

My sister is doing a bo-k... She bought those styrofoam things florists use and pins and someone will stick pins through the bows into the styrofoam to hold them in place.

i've been to showers before and we always use stapler, paper plate and all the ribbons that came from all/some of the gifts that were unwrapped.

Re: How did you girls make??
most of the time you just take paperplates, staple 3 together and tie ribbons at the end to tie under your chin. but having a premade had works just as well.
use a stapler and have glue and tape on stand-by. make sure the staples will go through the hat you bought.
for my friends wedding I had the honor of making hers... well it was a bouquet not a hat. her mother bought a kit from I think party city. all you do is attach bows and ribbons and then she was supposed to use it as her practice bouquet at the RD. but no one thought to bring a stapler, so I had to use tape... it was NOT easy. esp because a lot of the bows were heavy and pulled right off.
