At first I wanted purple and green...but I don't like pastels because I think it looks like Easter, and FH (who 'doesn't care about colors' says darker shades of purple are too dark for June )
So now I am so confused. How did you girls choose your colors? Did you always know?
And these inspiration boards?? What do you put on them? And are they actual boards, or online?
This is the one part of my wedding that I am just stumped!

I originally was trying to stay away from blue because I knew people would make comments since I love the Mets, etc.
I originally said that I was going to do Red and Yellow. But then I realized that I was not so excited about that.
Basically I looked at alot of bridal magazines and realized that I was always drawn to the blues!

I was originally going with a completely different theme and just by picking out flowers and BM dresses, everything seemed to fall into place with the purples and pink.

I saw a beautiful bouquet and that was what made me pick purple and blue. That's all it took. I might be using darker shades even though its a may wedding.

I changed my mind literally a dozen times. I really wanted my centerpieces to match the RH space (which i know isnt nec but im ocd lol) so we decided creams and whites w/ a tad of pale yellow wld be perfect at vyc since the space is mostly golds and reds just play around w/ it until you feel the combo is just right for you

purple is my fav color.....I saw a really nice brihgt purple & my sisters agreed they loved it too!!! So SOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I might do light purple & bright purple! Not sure yet

I struggled with this for sooooo long!! I wanted a bright purple because I'm getting married in June but then I also didn't like the pastel Easter looking colors so finally I just said who cares about the month or the season i think dark colors always look good. These are my bridesmaid dresses below in this plum color and to brighten it up im going to have bright flowers with purples and fuscia orchids in them. I think if you get bright flowers then you can get away with a darker purple color in June.
We did our fav colors and they worked! Yellow and Grey... Going to add a little sparkle to the grey too.

I don't blame you....it is driving me CRAZY too! At first I wanted purple, but now I am thinking about more of a teal blue. I will prob change my mind about 9 more times, but I feel like I need to decide already! Grrrrr!

I plan on doing like a royal purple in august so I think you can do purple! I just plan on contrasting it with other bright colors.

OMG I feel the same way about purple and thought the same thing about having my bms wear it since I look good in purple hahahaha

I can't seem to do this!
At first I liked a teal or a torquise (spelling?) Figured it would look nice with all of the blondes in my BP--and next to me- ha!
Then I go to my reception room and my BM starts playing with the uplighting and im like oh that purple looks nice, and that and that!!! eeek!

I am doing Navy Blue and White as my overall theme. My FH's fave colors are those 2 colors combined.

I knew i wanted jewel tones but couldn't pick just one, so i am going with three, dark green, blue, and purple. but i couldn't figure out which color for my paperwork so i just went with classic cream and black. you can do anything you want.
I think if you like a color i doesn't really matter what time of year your wedding is. If your FH is concerned with it feeling too dark, maybe put the BM's in a light fabric or adding a pop of a light color like yellow or pink to make it more spring like.
