At first I wanted purple and green...but I don't like pastels because I think it looks like Easter, and FH (who 'doesn't care about colors' says darker shades of purple are too dark for June )
So now I am so confused. How did you girls choose your colors? Did you always know?
And these inspiration boards?? What do you put on them? And are they actual boards, or online?
This is the one part of my wedding that I am just stumped!

I knew I wanted a wedding in late late winter or early spring so I could have bold colors that popped. I knew I wanted to incorporate fuschia, and when I decided on my theme the rest just came easy.
My theme is 'Wishes' as in the Disney's Magic Kingdom Fireworks show. My colors are a deep indigo with accents of fuschia and pistachio (think the night sky with bright fireworks in it).
Just keep looking at mags and blogs until you see something that inspires you!

I originally wanted eggplant purple but my cousin who is getting married in May is using that color and the cousin b/f that who got married used lavendar so i knew I had to stay away from purple so i decided I wanted Pink!!!! FH was like that if we incorporated pink then we needed another color more manly to go along with it. So we decided on Grey. But finding the pink I wanted was hard, so far Honeysuckle Pink is the winner. LOL.

i so wanted to do purple and green bm dresses but hated the green. so i just stuck with the purple but had everything else for my wedding purple and green.

were doing a color pallet, so i don't have to stick with one or two colors. Were having pale pick, peach, lavender, light teal and hints of yellow. It sounds all over the place but i think it will look really pretty when its all together

I chose based on the season and then what the bw dresses looked nice it too.

i wanted Red but since FH and I are getting married in Feb we did not want a Valentines day wedding so we went for Jade which is a happier green for the winter and iknew we wanted green and hunter green was way to dark so we went with jade, ivory and silver for our winter wedding.

i was going to do purple and then i was going to do pink ( i love pink) but then i decided to go with black dresses and hot pink flowers...

i love pink! i wanted to do pink, ivory and blush colors with lime green (since im getting married in the summer) but FH wants blue....so i think i might do pink and navy blue....we will see....i really wanted the colors I wanted (no blue) LOL but ithink i will have to compromise....

I knew I wanted to do Black BM dresses, so I figured combining white with it would be the easiest to do. My room also has tints of purple, so I'm thinking about including purple accents.
As for the inspiration boards, I found actual pictures I liked and created the board myself

I originally was trying to stay away from blue because I knew people would make comments since I love the Mets, etc.
I originally said that I was going to do Red and Yellow. But then I realized that I was not so excited about that.
Basically I looked at alot of bridal magazines and realized that I was always drawn to the blues!
haahhaa FH is pushing me into blue bc at one of our photog meetings a groom was wearing his mets hat for some of the pictures .. im considering it .. LOL but the hat goes on wayyyyy late into the reception

I want to do a rich purple even though my wedding is in July. I wNt to do light and dark purple flowers. We haven't picked a dress yet but I was thinking of maybe doing something that's a t-length since it's summer.

i wanted blue at first..then purple..then blue..then black and white..now i think im back to blue or purple..or..... IDK ha.

It wasn't too difficult for me. We are getting married 3 days after Christmas so I chose to go with holiday colors. Red, white & silver.
