How did you give away the centerpieces?

At one wedding it was the oldest person at the table, at another they did this napkin thing, and at another it was the couple from each table who was married the longest.

Re: How did you give away the centerpieces?

I went to a wedding once where they put a red circle under one place setting at each table and who ever sat there got to take the centerpiece home.
I haven't really thought about what I will do yet. I would say just let them decide on their own at each table, but I know that I have a few aunts that would start fighting it out!!!!

Re: How did you give away the centerpieces?

I think for the odd number tables I'll say whoever is oldest and for the even number tables I'll say whoever is youngest. However since some are coming from Ireland and leaving 2 days later so taking one home would not be an option, I might say if you don't want them let the maitre'd know and what I might do is maybe donate to a hospital or nursing home as long as they are still fresh looking.

I am going to ask a question: How many lawyers are at this wedding? There will be something like 30.
