Oh, and I used double sided tape from Michael's.

Spray Adhesive - I bought it at Michael's and it was fantastic!

I'm dying here! Your family sounds just like mine!!! Seriously, I've gotten like one or two (and sometimes NO) rsvps since I sent out my invites! It's like, PEOPLE I DID INVITES IN ENGLISH ANDDDDD SPANISH and sent Spanish ones to those that don't speak English. So it's not like you don't UNDERSTAND what that freakin rsvp card says!!

I used a xyron tape runner - it was amazing but each tape refill only worked for a small number of invites! But it was the BEST thing - I used a few other things too like Aileen's Tacky Glue and it worked, but was messier and took longer, and also other double sided permanent tape runners, and Scotch Tacky Adhesive. The Xyron Tape Runner thing (the cover is orange) was seriously the BEST and QUICKEST thing to use - it just became kinda pricey, lol.

Good luck!

I used the same thing and it was the best adhesive of all the ones I tried. Just be sure to use a permanent one.

I used an adhesive runner found in the scrapbook aisle. I think it is the same thing or very similar to what Yesenia was talking about. It worked great!!!

no no no! I totally forgot about the fact that we started by using gluesticks! Disaster! We used 'permanent' gluesticks and they all came undone!!!

I'd recommend one of the tacky adhesives for cost effectiveness, but really the doublesided permanent tape runners are the best and of those, the Xyron was amazing.

we used this stuff called Hermafix dotto dispenser - it was so easy to use. And you can buy refill rolls of adhesive -- we ordered it online at scrapbookpal.com and we got free shipping. the stuff was great. I now they do sell it in A.C Moore and Michaels it's just a little more $$

check out this adhesive at scrapbookpal.com

Basically yes, but it's actually dispensed in tiny little dots of permanent adhesive that are very close together - rolls like a tape directly onto the surface.

So you would apply it to the mat and then stick the mat onto the pocketfold. Or apply it to the invitation and then glue the invitation onto the mat (or directly onto the pocketfold, whatever you prefer). Make sense?

Re: how did you 'glue' the mats and pieces of your invitation?

another dumb question:
if it is like a double sides tape, how do u 'tape' it. Do you tape around the edge and then make an 'X' in the middle?
better method?

thanks, make sense
so it is very thin and you can't really feel it if you touch the paper afterward, right?
