A couple of years ago my dad passed away and things were really crazy in my life. I never thought things would get better and I would hope to g-d that an angel could come and make my life better. Two years after my dad's passing I met the boyfriend I have now...when we were first getting to know each other we started talking about tattoos (I had just gotten one) and he said he had two. When I asked to show me his--he picked up his shirt and there on his chest was a tattoo of an angel! i am NOT making this up, it was such a sign!! Obviously thats not the ONLY reason I know hes the one but it was too freaky to ignore...LOL

From the moment we made eye contact, I knew he was going to be my husband.

Re: How did you know they were 'the one'
By the way, I think I posted this before, but I knew he was 'the one' within the first week of meeting each other, and so did he. But what solidified it for me was that 6 months later, when we were about to move in together, he told me we should look for a house that had an extra bedroom for my brother in case he ever wanted to come live with us. (My brother has Down syndrome and is my favorite person in the world. My parents had talked about moving down south, and my bro wouldn't want to leave his friends.)
Yup, that did it for me.

These ARE really great stories! My fiance and I met at a club when we were both in our very early 20s, so neither of us were looking for more than fun, but there was definitely something undeniable between us. A few weeks after we met, i came down w/ the flu and he came to my apt. w/ orange juice, eggs, flu medicine, toast, chicken soup, cookies, etc...and took care of me. Thats when I knew I was falling in love with him. : )

Re: How did you know they were 'the one'
We met when I was going to FIT 5 years ago. We had really bad realtionships before each other. When I met him I was like, I don't care if he calls I'm not looking for boyfriend. One night he visited me at school to go to a party and we didn't talk the whole time, so I was like well whatever. At the end of the night he took me aside to talk I noticed that he had the best smile I had ever seen. Well he called the next day and after that we continued to have such long and great phone conversations. It was hard being far from each other all week but in the long run it was the best thing. I got to know him so well. We became each others best friend. It so weird cause I never thought I would be able to meet someone that I could actually put up with for the rest of my life. But now nothing is complete without him.

FW did that trick to me!!
however during the first 3 yrs or so of dating, i kept telling her, i'm not the one, people can treat you better or give you more. Like every relationships, there are bumps in the road. Reflecting back on all those bumps (no family support, no money, etc) and how we worked them out and were still on top of the world, then I knew she was the one for me. We traveled a very long road and i'm glad she was the other person going with me. Also, I thought my life wouldn't be what it is today without her (1 yr before engagement almost 2 yrs ago)

For the first time everythign just clicked! There was no trying to force it or make excuses or settling. Also, I felt like fate was just pushing me towards him. It was crazy!

This is a very touching post, I'm trying not to get watery eyes at work ...mind you.LOL...anyway for me I think it just felt so right and easy....everything kinda happened so naturally ....I had just gotten out of a long distance relationship, that was dragging on longer then necessary with someone who I was struggling to get anything emotionally from - so it was a relief when it ended, And then shortly after I met my FH and he was just great to be with, lots of fun. and on our first date it was great and we spent the whole memorial day weekend together, I met his family that first weekend, everything was just so right, and over the course of 7 months, decided to move in and we got engaged!
