I initially wanted something with sleeves so I could wear a regular bra for my big boobies. One pic I brought in was of a ballgown style w/sleeves. I tried it on and took it right off. I thought that b/c I'm tall, I could carry it...not the case. It made me look heavy (courtesy of my boobs.) So I tried on the exact opposite...a sheath. They definitely flattered me the best. (Helped show off that girlish figure I'm always hiding. )

My mom & sis saw a beaded gown hanging on the rack and knew right away that I would like it. They were on point! I bought it!

It was the one that made my boobs look the best and my butt the smallest.

Haha! Seriously, it was the prettiest on me. I turned around and my mom and I just knew.

I saw it in a magazine and loved it. I went to the store to try it on & that was it!

Looked in magazines and ripped out pictures of what I thought I liked. Went to several shops with the pictures and didn't like many. Kept looking around and got a feel for what flattered my figure the best and what I liked. Typically it was strapless aline dresses with a little sparkle. Finally, after going to many many stores and trying on many many dresses, I thought I was close to deciding ona Maggie dress. I would up going to Bridal Couture in Manhasset (against what most people told me) and walked in and saw this beautiful dress on a girl..never thought it would look good on me (it was a sheath). Tried it on and never took it off. My mom and aunt both cried and it just made me feel wonderful.

The thing is deep down the sheath style was what I always liked...but whenever I tried on sheaths I looked like big butt and hips. I also am not usualyl into detailed dresses with alot going on and my dress was super detailed but in such an elegant way. Also my mom really seemed like she wanted me to wear white and my dress was ivory....when I found the right dress I just new it and it changed my mind of a lot of things. It was like this dress was made for me!

My dress was easy. It was the first dress I tried on, but my 2nd choice.

I'm a very traditional person. I love the long sleeves, and the high neck. My dress is close to that. It has the long sleeves, but it's a little off the shoulder instead of a high neck.

It's very elegant. Now I just have to motivate myself to lose some weight, and I'll look even nicer on my day.

I always thought I wanted a sheath or an a-line.
Went to the bridal shops, pictures in hand, but the salons never had what I wanted.
The first dress I put on was a ballgown and I fell in LOVE!!
When the shop FINALLY got my 'dream dress' in, a simple silk a-line, it just didn't feel as 'bridey' to me as the ballgown.

So try EVERYTHING.
Even stuff you'd never imagine you'd wear.
You , might surprise yourself.

I actually ripped out pages from a magazine a whole bunch of pics, and the lady pulled out some that they had, and styles that I was looking for. I was looking for sleeveless, and halter top. Just my style. I actually chose a dress that I chose from a magazine. The minute I put it on my face just glowed

I still haven't figured out what dress I want but I just wanted to let you know that it is possible to get a dress with fur-- there is a really nice one in the window of Bridal Reflections in Massapequa right now.
