I just love hearing dress stories. let's all share them!
Mine:
I was at David's Bridal LAST April with a friend who was getting married in August. She was looking for a dress there and I wasn't even engaged yet but I was in heaven when I walked in lol
I turned around and on the manican was this gorgeous dress. I said to her omg I want that dress. She told me to try it on but I refused saying it was bad luck lol
Fast forward to last May and I got engaged :)
My mom had asked me literally the week after if I have thought of any type of dress I wanted and I'm like actually I know exactly!!
Long story short, I went, tried it on, cried, and bougth it. I AM IN LOVE

I didn't really 'know' Every time I tried on a dress at any of the places I went everyone would say how nice it looked. It was ultimately down to 2 and one of them didn't come in an ivory/soft white. So my decision was made for me!

My mom and I knew it was the one when I tried on other dresses after mine and they just didn't look quite like 'me'

I tried on dresses and mom kept saying they were nice, but that was it. We were at the Wedding plaza in Floral Park and I tried on about 6 or 7 dresses already and I was frustrated because it was hot and I was getting tired. Luanne, the best sales person there, said she had one more dress in mind and begged me to try it on. It was stunning with a cathedral train (what I always wanted). When I came out of the dressing room, mom burst into tears, then I burst into tears once I saw it in the full length mirror...at that point, I didn't want to take it off because I knew it was THE ONE!!!

It was the only one that I asked to try on more than once!! and didn't want to take it off after trying it on!! (tried on over 40 dresses!)

After trying around 4 dresses on that were horrible on me, I thought wedding dresses just weren't meant for me! Then, I tried one on that I LOVED. It was gorgeous, but I kept looking at more. The entire time, my mom kept thinking about 1 dress that was in the 'expensive' room and she suggested I try it on. Of course, I obliged! When I put it on, it was amazing and my mom and sister both started to fill up with tears, but I still didn't.
Then we went to another store to try on a whole bunch of other dresses, and that same dress from last time would be last I'd try on. I was SO anxious to get that dress on, and when I did, I CRIED and CRIED and CRIED. Sobbing tears. Then, I kept it on for an hour, at least!
