How did you learn to

Original post by minniebride14

COOK?! I am the absolute WORST! My FI is so cute; he tells me that he loves the fact that I try. I can make sauce (w/meatballs, etc), chick cutlets and THAT'S IT! i'm clueless!

Hmmm, maybe I don't WANT to... No, I really do! As I said, I just get frustrated - and 8:30 is soooo late!

Jenn, you are very lucky! Does he cook if you have guests too? You see, that is one of the reasons I don't invite guests over. What am I going to give them - boxed cake?! I can't even make a decent pot of coffee!!

My nonna chose me from all the (9) grandkids & (15) great grandkids & began to teach me when I was 4. We are Italian, so only one girl from each generation is chosen to get the family recipies.

I learned from my mom...but I watch cooking channels and read cook books all the time...the best way to learn is by just doing it and trying...if it doesn't taste good...throw it out and try to fix what you did wrong...be confident!
