We both worked for the same company about 7-8 years ago, and knew OF each other, but we never talked.
After he transferred into my dept, I would see him at happy hour all the time b/c we were friends with a lot of the same people. But… he had a gf. Months later, at one of those happy hours, he told my friend that he thought I was hot. Well, at the time I wasn’t interested at all b/c I barely knew him, and I also knew that he had a long-term gf. At that year’s Christmas party, we hung out the entire night and he asked for my number. 3 weeks later, he broke up w/ his gf (of 7 years!) and we started dating. Just under 3 years later, we were engaged.

My parents and I were shopping for a new television at PC Richards and he was our salesman. Talk about a weird situation .

We're a Match.com couple too! I winked first - how about you? I always tell him he's lucky I don't have any sense of distance because he lived in Seaford and I lived in Stony Brook and if I had known he lived 45 minutes away, I would never had winked at him.

I was actually DH's very first date on Match. I was a huge Match ho though and had been on a bunch of dates

we worked together.....i sold cars he worked in service...he was living with someone at the time and i kept telling him that i didnt want a boyfriend...i think it was like 3 weeks before he moved in and 2.5 years later we bought a house and got engaged!!!!!!!!

We met back in 2000 when we were both working at the GAP at the tanger outlets - he was my manager - but we didn't officially get together until many years later...

FH was deployed to Iraq (we were not together yet) and he was in the same unit as my bf at the time. I got dumped and he started talking to me often online sinc his job was in intelligence and he was always by a computer. We talked for five months online while he was deployed and then he told me that he was coming to visit me when he got back in the states. He FINALLY told me that he liked me when he got back from his depolyment and then he came to visit. We've been together ever since

FH and my old neighbor are friends. We have always known eachother but never really talked. At a blockparty 4 years ago he asked me to be his beer pong partner..(Seriously lol) I did but I was apparently 'mean'.. I dont remember being mean haha. We started talking after that...and finally started dating.

FH had a best friend who just happened to be my coworker at Claires. He got a lot of information about me from her. But he approached me on his own when he saw me in the mall. I had no clue who he was however, he knew so much about me.

A random Monday night...

I used to work for a dj company years ago, and they were having an outing in nyc at Spotlight in Times Square. My best friend still works for the dj company and I met her out.

FH's friend works as an office manager at the dj company (with my best friend) and met him out at the last minute after looking at apartments in NYC.

We hit it off immediately and ended up staying out until 4 am

Needless to say my FH never moved into NYC because he found what he was looking for

ETA:
We made it 'Official' 2 weeks later, on the 4th of July 2007.
And he proposed on the morning of our 1 year anniversary

He worked with one of my BFs from college, we met at a happy hour that my friend put together. It took him a few weeks to ask me out though. He just kept showing up at more and more happy hours.

I met my husband at his mothers funeral. My grandmnew his mother from church and my 2 sisters knew him but never told them that they had a 3rd sister

I met DH when we were both interning for NYPD when we were in college and worked as cadets & went on to become police officers. We were friends for a year before we dated. We lived together for three years, engaged for two years and got married!
