How did you meet FH

Don't know if this question has been asked before but if it was I missed it. FH and I are a match.com couple. Anyone else out there?

We're a Match.com couple too! I winked first - how about you? I always tell him he's lucky I don't have any sense of distance because he lived in Seaford and I lived in Stony Brook and if I had known he lived 45 minutes away, I would never had winked at him.

I was actually DH's very first date on Match. I was a huge Match ho though and had been on a bunch of dates

LOL! - FH winked first - I always tell him 'this all began with a wink' We live 40 minutes away from each other also, out of my distance zone - but well worth it.

LOL I love it!
we met on Jdate (yup Jews version of Match.com) he emailed me 1st and I didnt exactly understood his picture cause it was so blurry, but loved what he wrote. he was the only guy that actually took time to write a personal email to me. then we exchanged a few more emails and went on our 1st date about 2 weeks later.
got engaged 6 months and 2 days later.
been inseparable since that 1st date

loved reading everyone's stories. we never know what life throws at us...

We had both joined a running team to raise money for charity. it was my fourth marathon with the team and his first but we never officially met until one day the team met at 5:30 am for our longest run before the marathon. We all took off and he stayed back with his friend but his friend's bouncing flashlight was driving him crazy so he decided to catch up to the glow-stick adorned ankle that ran ahead (mine :) We ran 19 miles together that day and chatted the whole time. Marathon weekend in DC we really flirted and had a great time and he called me the following wednesday for a date! 13 1/2 months later we were engaged! Good thing he could keep up with me! :)

ps-i love the one who just started talking to the guy at the next table at a restaurant! you should give lessons on seeing something you want and going for it!

thank you! the story is actually better than that, but i didn't wanna bore anyone :)............. but now i will!!! LOL

i was out with my girlfriends and one of their aunts was there... she was actually sitting between us, and pushed me out of my seat. she made me get up and switch seats so i could talk to hi. so we started talking and after about 15 minutes we decided to all meet up at a club next door.

well, the club wouldn't let his friend in b/c he was wearing sneakers, so 10 minutes later, FH came back in and walked over to our table (SOOOOOOO uncharacteristic of him) to get my number. before he could even ask, my friend took his phone and put my number in, and sent him packing. LOL!

fun fact: my friend who gave him my number is my MOH, and his friend who was with him that night is his BM!!!!

My MOH has been my best friend for 12 years and knew him through his ex-girlfriend who was another close friend. We kept having these missed meetings over and over but we were both in relationships anyway and we actually ended up ending our relationships on the same day oddly enough. We had both signed up for OKcupid online and he messaged me and I had no interest until I realized who he was and we started talking just as friends since neither of us were really looking to date yet. We spent a month talking online and texting constantly because we had hectic schedules and then he had a death in the family, etc before we 'went out for coffee as friends' and that was IT! It was 'the never ending date' and we've been absolutely inseparable ever since! My MOH says she doesn't want the credit or the blame for setting us up and jokes about how disastrous is could have been if we'd have actually met sooner! His mom says the first time he mentioned me she knew I was the one from how he spoke about me, the first time I hung out with his family, I remember saying something like 'What are you smiling about?' to him and she chirped in 'he always smiles when he looks at you, haven't you noticed?' It was all so fast and so perfect :)

We had a mutual friend in HS. I went to school with him and FH knew him all his life. We owe our relationship to him and he was sooo happy when he found out we got engaged because he brought us together.

FH and I met at our parish where we sang in the choir (we're catholic) several years before we started dating, where I fell for him. We ended up going to the same college (he was a Junior when I was a Freshman), where we got together in my first semester there. It was really your classic love story:

Girl falls for boy.
Boy is oblivious.
Girl continues to pursue boy.
Boy resists dating because his roommates all have controlling girlfriends.
Girl still doesn't give up.
Boy gives in. Boy kisses girl.

That was six years ago. I still refer to our anniversary as 'the day he gave in.' lol And he contends its the best decision he's ever made :o)

We have known each other since we were born. Our families are very close. He said he had a crush on me since we were young but I never believed him. We didnt like each toher very much when we were in our teenage years but than one christmas a bunch of us were hanging out and one thing lead to another and we have been together ever since.

our good friends that are dating eachother for years introduced us. I always knew of frankie but we were both in long relationships with other peopke so we never met. then when we were both single..after not wanting to meet any other guy..I forced myself to all meet at a bar one night & from that moment on..we talked & hung out & made it official one week later. It's so amazing & we both knew right away. 2 months into it we knew we were going to get married...On Christmas Day ..we were together a year & a half & he proposed infront of both out families :)...needless to say..so glad I decided to finally meet him

I had gotten out of a relationship a few months before so I said to a girlfriend I work with, 'set me up with the FedEx guy...he's cute'.

We work in the office together, and she is admin so she always talked to him when he would come in to pick up or drop off packages.

One day I came into work, and found out the FedEx guy was looking for me....he wound up giving me his number. We met in the hallway of my office building and started chatting then when out and as they say, the rest is history!

Now FH and I are getting married, and she is a BM!

We met at a party for our mutual best friend. (We actually both were best friends with the same guy) He was my best friend from Acupuncture school and he was FH's best friend from college (also roommate) We never met before, but we always heard stories about each other through our mutual friend.
FH got a little tipsy that night and told me he was ready for a real relationship and that his ex was making him crazy. I felt bad for him, he was so cute and sweet (but 12 yrs younger so I thought he would never be interested in me) so I offered to help him find someone by putting him on Match.com.
He agreed and gave me his email. We started chatting online and on the phone and I quickly realized....I am CRAZY if I put this guy on Match....I want him for myself! 2 yrs later we are getting married.

We met through mutual friends - we barely even spoke at the beginning but a few months later, we were best friends. Over time, we just fell for each other and a few years later, we began dating. The rest is history.

We met through OK Cupid in 2005 to get dinner one night while I was visiting a friend in CT (he lived in Middletown, CT and I lived in Brooklyn)... we were barely within the 100 mile radius!!

After our first date, I invited him to come to NY the next weekend to visit.

Then he invited me to Thanksgiving in NC.

We never looked back!

I agree... I never thought I'd meet my husband-to-be on OK cupid lol!
