How did you pick your DOJ?

There are so many beautiful things out there - what was the deciding factor for you DOJ? Dress style? Personal taste? Did you buy your jewelry after or before your 1st fitting? I need HELP!!! Too many choices...

I actually did it backwards and it worled out great! I found a pair of earrings that i loved! before I got my dress.

I did the same thing... I purchased my shoes first, then my dress, earrings, purse, and finally my necklace.

Since my dress is lace with beading I wanted my jewelry to bring the beading out. I got jewelry that is pearl and crystal.

i did not pick out my DOJ until the night before.... i dunno why i just wasnt worried about it... but it worked out perfectly... i wore my mothers pearls and her tennis bracelet and at 8:00 at night we ran to the store to buy earrings!!!!!

It worked out PERFECTLY....

I knew I needed something simple with my dress. I figured only pearls would go. I got earings and a necklace. And at the last minute we decided teh necklace was too much so I took it off. LOL. But my best friend wore it at her wedding as her something borrowed.

ETA: I think its important to not get anything that will take away from yuor dress. You def want that to be the focus.

I actually asked my hair/makeup artist what kind of jewelry worked best with my dress and hair. Since she does weddings all the time, I figured she would know what looks best!

i knew i wanted like an old hollywood vintage/glam look for my dress so i decided on big earrings and a bracelet and searched from there. I think its much easier once you decide on the look you are going for, it helps narrow down all the choices.

Aww, Jeez! I don't even know what 'look' I want anymore! LOL The more I think about it, the more confused I get! I think maybe I have too much time on my hands right now to be stressing about DOJ - I mean, seriously, the world is on the verge of economic disaster and I'm having nightmares about wearing the wrong jewelry... what's wrong with me???
