i had two that i was in love with. i went with the one that was less expensive.

That was my situation. They were both really similar, so I went with the less expensive one.
I still wonder what will happen if I saw the more expensive one being sold for cheaper.

Re: How did you pick your dress

I had already decided that I found the dress (Preshy's dress!)and my mother-in-law wanted to go shopping for dresses with me. I did just to make her happy. I was planning on buying the other dress the following week. Then after trying several dresses on, I came across this beautiful dress and when i put it on, it made me look so incredibly beautiful that I knew it was really the one. My mother in law and sister in law were speechless and did not give therr opinion until I told them that I loved the dress! They then told me that the dress was perfect and amazing! I cried when I put the matching manitilla on. It was how I always envisioned I would look on my wedding day!

Re: How did you pick your dress

I NEVER tried on a dress...my mom was making it and I wasn't happy with my weight so I refused to go to a salon. I had my 'dream' dress which was all lace and fitted, but I didn't lose nearly enough weight to pull it off. I then searched online for hours and found an old Amsale dress that caught my eye and decided that was it. After a few design adjusments (because, well, I'm no model) my mom made it perfectly.

I had it down to two, and knew it was the one when my mom, MOH, and everyone in the store told me how wonderful it was on me, and I was parading around the store in it, LOL.

I searched the internet and the different designers. I then had a list of dresses I wanted to try on, as well as heading to Vera Wang's sample sale. The very first dress I tried on was 'it' - I just kept looking in the mirror saying 'it can't be this easy' - but it was. I still went to the Vera Wang sale, and I went to two other bridal salons with my mother and tried on maybe a dozen other dresses, but I just kept comparing them to the first one.

I fell in love with 2, tried them both on, and of course I went with the first dress I tried on

It was the third dress i tried on. I looked in the mirror and had the biggest smile so i knew it had to be the one.

Re: How did you pick your dress

I tried on sooooo many dresses and every time I looked in the mirror I wasn't blown away. Then I tried on MY dress (which I found yesterday ) and I knew it was exactly what I wanted.

Good luck on your decision!

Re: How did you pick your dress

Thanks All! I have now resorted to comparing the pics of the dresses i like online next to a pick of FH in a tux to see which I like better, it helped me narrow it down to 2 from 4, I picked up another fav since i first posted The 2 left, both are so pretty and bridal looking but one is slightly more stylish looking (gatherd skirt), the other an A-line with box pleats. Both have almost identical detailing on the top (strapless)

decisions decisions..
