How did you pick your hair/makeup people? Any upstate brides, please help!!!

As some of you may know, my wedding is upstate, and I really don't have any good leads on hair and makeup people.

I went to the surrounding areas and visited a few I thought might be nice, but I can't have trials with everyone!!!!

I went with my gut to weed some out, but still have to select only 1.

Any advice??

I'm sorry, but I can't really help you, but to answer your question, my FH's best friend's wife is a hair dresser/make-up artist and she's doing me and my mom's hair and make-up.

Unfortunately, she has an infant and wouldn't be able to travel. .

I checked out Chatterbox, Jazzy Jeri, Esthetiques...all in Saratoga and Kelly Goldman who was recommended by the Sagamore....

Did you find out if any of the vendors on here would be willing to travel upstate?

Try contacting Tarale too, shes amazing IMO.

I have my makeup person down here, and she is willing to come up for $1000, but that's to do EVERYONE who want to have their makeup done.

I think it just might be better to have someone up there do everything....
