Just blurted it out!!! Everyone kind of knew we were getting engaged so when it happened we starting making some phone calls and then it seemed like everyone knew!

I just let the word spread slowly. I wasn't one for announcing it. I kinda felt weird. But I'm over it now! Now I just shout it!

My parents knew when it was going to happy, so that weekend (my FI & I had gone away) my dad told some of family. After that, when we came home from our weekend away, my mom started calling friends and the rest of my family.

Well, my dad and best friend knew about it and so did his parents. As far as everyone else we called them right away and we went to see everyone that night with a bottle of Dom Perignon (spelling?) so we could have a toast with our close family and friends.

well, when we were in the city I swore to Ken that I would wait to get home because we wanted to enjoy the day......instead I called EVERYONE I KNEW and talked on the phone for 1hr and 1/2

we knew the most efficient way of getting the info out was to tell my sil - within minutes the whole world was calling us!!!

I was in Aruba so we bought a calling card & I dialed away while screaming & yelling , although my dad & MOH already knew he was going to propose to me there. The rest we emailed from Aruba

We called everyone yelling and screaming on the phone! (that was mostly me)

He popped the question at 12:30 at night - I called my Mom and left a msg on her machine in Texas (it was 10:30 pm there) saying 'Mom, it's me. Call me back.' She calls back 20 minutes later all panicked, going 'Honey?! What's wrong? I was in the shower! Are you allright?!' (I must have sounded foreboding, when in reality I was just drunk) and I said 'I got engaged!!!!!!!!!!!!' And she goes 'Well thank GOD! It's HIGH time that boy asked you to marry him!' LOLOLOL

Picked up a bottle of champagne - which the place gave us for free - and then drove to my parents and then to his parents.

Well, my parents knew he was proposing, but his had no idea. So after he did it, we went back to his house to tell his parents and grandmother, then over to my house to tell whatever family was there. Then we swore everyone to secrecy and announced it to David's extended family at his dad's birthday party the next day. We just called my family, and sent emails to everyone else.

My family and his family already knew. So on the way to dinner I was on my cell phone calling all my friends! LOL!
