How did your FH propose?

I guess, Ill start by posting my own answer :)

The weekend before our five year anniversary (June 11th/12th), we went to Montauk to celebrate.
On Friday we went to dinner, went shopping and just hung out. I told him how some of my friends thought he was proposing, he laughed at the thought, and said, did you think so? i said no of course not (i really had no idea..being that we spent two weeks in hawaii, cali and vegas the year before where EVERYONE including myself thought it would happen). he laughed again and said, id say we wait tilll you are 25 (2 years) and then well be ready for me to propose..THEN we can get married a year or two later..i agreed, sounded like a plan :)

Saturday started with him making me breakfast in bed, planning every moment of the day out (he NEVER plans anything ha) i even texted a friend to tell her he was acting wierd, she laughed at said enjoy the moment (little did i know , she knew from a friend of his who slipped). We went and spent some time on the beach. While at the beach Mike told me that he had to go upstairs to the room and go to the bathroom (which is important in his plan). When he came back, we went for a walk together on the beach. Shortly after that it started to rain, so we decided to go to the town and go shopping. While out, Mike insisted on dinner in the room instead of at a restaurant. After I (finally) agreed, we went to an italian take out place, snack shop for appetizers and a dessert place. We took all of this food back to the room.
Upon entering the room, I was surprised with rose petals all over the floor leading up to the bed. The bed had a heart made out of rose petals and a candle in the middle. The dressers had rose petals and candles all over as well. The table was moved in front of the patio which looked out onto the beach. The table was set with a table cloth, candles, rose petals and silverware. (Clearly what Mike planned when he went to the 'bathroom')
We ate our delicious dinner and had drinks. After dessert, Mike reached into his bag for another drink and instead of pulling out a drink--pulled out the ring :)

It was PERFECT!

We were going to the Mets game with my FH brother and sister-in-law. They have a brick for their mother at Citifield. They were taking me there to see the brick but little did I know it was a different brick. My FH bought a brick that said Mara Harvey will you marry me? I was soooooo surprised. Then we went to dinner in the city with his 2 brothers, their wives and my sister. And to top it off he got a room at the Waldorf Astoria!

It was absolutely perfect!

I couldnt bring myself to say yes ha I was too in shock about it..I couldnt even look at the ring..i kept looking at him and saying..are you serious????!!!
and pacing back and forth lol

The day before Easter FH kept saying that night he wanted to exchange easter presents (I had to explain to him easter not so much a present giving holiday) and then I had to run out to buy him a present since I just made him a lil basket..so he made dinner and all that nice stuff

After dinner he handed me a HUGE bag with the sweetest card on earth.. in the bag was a box with a precious moment in it (my chat avatar) and when I looked up he was on his knee with the ring and asked me to marry him! It took me a little bit to say yes because I just jumped up and hugged and kissed him!

His present was wayyyy better than the video game i bought him lol

I DEF think shock was the best part about it!

everyone asks if im upset he didnt propose in hawaii (last year we spent 2 weeks there together)--and i guess yea that would be romantic, but we all expected it then....no way in my mind did i expect it now ha!

I love all these stories!! Here is mine:

My FH and I have known each other since we were about 12, and have been together almost 5 years. We knew we were gonna get married and i was kinda starting to get pissed that i didnt have a ring already....so when we planned our trip to disney this past summer i told my sister that if he didnt propose...there would be MAJOR problems!
I kinda had an idea that he was going to do it...but then while there he was hinting that he wasnt!! I forget exactly what was said...but it was something along the lines of 'soon'...and he has been saying 'soon' for two years!
SO, needless to say, i sunk into a major depression the first or second night of the trip! I was an ubber B i t ch..and almost ruined the trip!!

THEN, On the 4th or so night, we went to the magic kingdom and KNEW that we were gonna watch the fireworks cause i love them! We got to a bench early and sat down. We were with my sister, her BF and another friend of ours...all in a row on this bench. My back was towards my FH looking at the castle and fireworks when FH put his arm around me (i didnt think anything of it). But, in his hand, in my face, was his cell phone...with a picture of the ring!!! All i can really remmeber was saying 'what is that!?' over an over...and then asking if he had it with him! I thought he was seriously just showing me a picture!!! He then got on one knee and asked me! My friend got two pictures (in my album) and it was a magically night! I was on such a high!!!

So we were staying off Disney property and wanted to celebrate! So we headed to walmart to get some beer and a good bottle of champagne! My sister and her BF are 20, but came in the store with us anyway....BIG MISTAKE! Walmart wouldnt sell us anything because all of us werent over 21!!! I ended up geting all Bronx ghetto on the fat chick and told her to F- Off (i'm quite classy). We then ended up going to 7-11 and just getting beer and had an awesome night in the room!!!!

I will never forget that vacation!!!
