Both of our parents were going the the Steeley Dan concert at Jones Beach when we were first together.
They exchanged ticket/seat info and met up to say hello to each other...the rest is history.

FH, me, my sister and her boyfriend sprung for mother's day brunch at Captain Bills for all the mom's, we had already been engaged for 3 months. That was when they met and they haven't seen each other since. My momma's got my back and if I don't like someone either does she therefore I don't see them being life long friends anytime soon.

I think the first time they met was on Mother's day the first year we were dating. It's been so long!

Our parents met when we were moving to Boston and they all helped with the move. And again at my grandfather's funeral.
My parents are trying to find a time to have them over but it hasn't worked out yet.
I am sure they will get along but don't see them being great friends.

Unfortunately, they met over bad circumstances--at my grandmothers wake But after were were engaged we went out for a brunch to really have his mom meet my parents and they didn't meet his dad or step-mom till the engagement party (3 years after we started going out) cayuse they live in New Hamp

They are going to meet this friday for the first time!!! Its going to be super stressedful.. .our e-party is this weekend...fh parents live in san francisco and are flying here.... so we are having a 'meeting dinner' before the eparty... soooo nervous cause FMIL hates me... wish me luck!!!!!

My mother had them over for dinner right before Christmas. However, my mom met his mom a few times before that.

We took them all out to dinner. It's tough because his parents live upstate and we're all down here... thankfully they all get along.

They met last November at a charity event at Leonards for FH's 6 yr old cousin who has been diagnosed with cancer.
But had an intimate dinner with both families two weeks after we were engaged.

my parents just met his mom (dad is MIA) after 4 yrs at our e-party. now shes coming to spend thanksgiving at our house with FBIL and his girlfriend.

FH's family had a BBQ labor day weekend in 05 and they invited my dad and his now wife. it was about 6 months after we started dating.

his mom met my father and step mother a couple of times before we got engaged.... his dad and mom came over my house for champagne the night we got engaged so they met then and then all the parents came when we went looking at halls.... they met again when we had a nice BBQ at my house a engagement bbq just for immediate family his aunt my aunts uncles
THEY WILL BE TOGETHER AGAIN AT THE ENGAGEMENT PARTY THIS DECEMBER

FH was in a show, and my parents as well as his dad came to see it and we all went out to eat after. That was when we were dating for less than a year.

I arranged for FH and my parents to meet in a neutral place. We all met at Old Bethpage Village for the holiday event they have every year. We all went to dinner afterwards. My parents haven't seen/spoken to the FIL since our engagement party in May.

We all went to dinner a month or so before we got engaged. We've gotten together a few times since for dinner, and the engagement party. Everyone gets along...for now.

our families kinda knew each other but didnt know it til after we started dating (or maybe while we were friends)
Fhs aunt and my mom worked together in HS. My grandfather and his grandfather knew each other through baseball stuff and my gramps was an electrician.
I dont really know when they actually first meet though. But they see each other all the time.
