Both of our parents were going the the Steeley Dan concert at Jones Beach when we were first together.
They exchanged ticket/seat info and met up to say hello to each other...the rest is history.

FHs mother invited myself and my family up to their house upstate one weekend a couple years ago. And they've been friends ever since :)

My mom has met FH's mom once, at a partylite show I held a few years ago. I believe they have spoken on the phone once or twice since, regarding a birthday party my mom threw for my 30th (FH's mom couldn't attend) ... our dads have not met, FH thinks they will have nothing to talk about ....
So they may meet before the RD, but most likely, they will meet 'officially' then.

my parents invited FH's parents out to dinner in the city. My mom thought it was really important that they met. They are not friends.

theyy actually met when we were going to senior prom they are not friends
its like two worlds colliding and i dont think it will get any easier LOL they both love each other though but just. . . two different planets! LOL

My mom and FH mom met when FH and I moved in together. They both helped us. When we got engaged, we all went out to dinner to celebrate my FFIL and my dad got to meet then....

FH used to live upstate and I would visit him. My parents came to pick me up one time and that is when our parents met. They hit it off right away.

yesterday at the airport. his mom and my parents were both flying on the same plane from poland. and that's how they met.

same here that is funny. but my parents and fh's parents have known each other as long as we have known each other. i live 5 blocks away from fh for 15 yrs now and my older brohter is best friends with fh. but they actually finally sat down and talked and got to know eachother about a 6 months after we started dating for our memorial day bbq. however our parents are completely different. my dad is very down to earth and my mom is well she is my mom and fh's parents his mom (very quiet and not too social) and fh's dad very impressionable haha he is romanian and has a very strong personality. so our parents are def not like best friends they like eachother and do get along but thye dont hang out

FH and I went to high school together and our mom's used to bowl on the same league. So our mom's have known each other a long time. Unfortunately, my mom is not too crazy about FMIL (but FH doesn't know that!), so I'm nervous about what the future holds with family get togethers! Plus, with my dad not being around anymore I feel even worse that my mom will have to deal with them alone! Though sometimes she brings the stress on herself!
FMIL invited my mom, sister and me over for dinner to discuss wedding plans, but we are waiting until my sister is home for the holidays. I can't WAIT to see how that goes!!

They met at our eparty. We lived in VA for a long time so they never had a reason to meet before hand. It was so cute, during their speeches my dad said 'we may have a problem, that could stop them from getting married'...he had talked to FH's mom and found out her maiden name and our last name is the same ...luckily his family is from the south and we're Caribbean

a week after we got engaged our parents set up a dinner for everyone to meet. It was me, fh, my parents, his parents, his brother and his brothers girlfriend
since then they've had dinner together a couple of times, had eachother over too

They haven't met yet. Ony our mom's have met and that was one time about 2 weeks ago when his mom went to my mom's store. So they chatted for a few. We're having an official 'meet the parents' brunch the weekend before Thanksgiving. I can't tell you how much anxiety this is giving me.
