I've looked at the etiquette & addressing sites and I'm still confused.
Im inviting my aunt DIANE, uncle STEVE & their son MARK, who still lives at home and wont be brigning a guest (they have 3 other children who are married and out of the house getting their own invites)
Outside envelope:
Mr. & Mrs. Steven Diapoules? or The Diapoules Family?
Inside envelope:
List their names or put the Diapoules Family?

Do what ever you want...I call my IL 'Nanny and Poppy' and that is what I wrote.

yes - i did informal on the inner and many people mentioned how much they liked the personal touch. We even did friends silly nicknames - they loved it.

What is your invitation wording? Mine is:
Mr. and Mrs. XXX request the honour of your presence at the marriage of their daughter....
since the invitation is technically from my parents, I listed only names on the inner envelope, I didn't make any reference to relationships.

Oh goodness, Good point! I wrote The parents of.. request on the invitation
SO I guess I shouldnt do uncle & aunt, but I can still do first names right?
