no - you have WAY too much going on mentally - which is why this is the LAST thing you need to deal with - rip off the bandaid and rip it off now!

that's easy, slip her some poison or her push her down the stairs
OMG Jess!
On a more serious note- I would take her aside first and explain why you are asking her not to be a part of your day- also do what you said- give her the money and then some so she can't argue about that.
Can things be talked out with this girl?

Re: how do I get rid of a bridesmaid?
Just tell her face to face about how she is making you feel. Maybe she will realize what she is doing and be a better bridesmaid. Obviously this person is important to you so just tell her how you feel. If she can't understand then give her the money back and send her on her way.

If you are going to get rid of the bm...you've gotta give the money back. How close was this person to you originally?!?!

What did she do? If it's truly personal, you don't have to respond, but in wedding planning, perceived offenses get exaggerated in our own mind when none or a lesser offense than originally thought occurred.
If you kick her out, be forewarned that the friendship will end. Reimburse her for costs she has expended.

okay gonna chime in here.. lol . I just dropped my MAID OF HONOR.. last week Thursday matter of fact, and my wedding is next Sat.. Yes.. it has been like a lifted weight of bricks. I have reprinted the programs, reassembled them and am moving right along with the planning. my DOC called me and was like.. r u okay.. sh*t i am better than I've EVER BEEN BEFORE!! whew!
i now have a matron and three bridesmaids.. and it is PERFECT! not to mention I save bout $75 on her bouquet, $200 on dinner for her and her whoever she's dating. $55 on her hair, an $35 on her makeup. oh yes.. i told her to wear the dress in good health and take care
if it's a problem. LET IT GO!!

Wow...I am glad that others are feeling the same way...I am thinking of getting rid of someone too...
it is a hard decision...but she is driving me nuts...and it shows that she does not care...
SO I say just tell her and then leave in her hands

yep.. my only regret.. ONLY is that i told her to wear the dress in good health and not to return it to me.. . My florist needs fabric to wrap the bok flowers in.
