tommorow is 3 weeks till my wedding and I cant take it anymore ......I truly feel this person will hinder the day and I dont want them there period. I am willing to pay the cost of the dress etc ...do I just tell them Im sorry your selfish and I cant handle hes xxx amount of money have a nice day?

i think you should give the money back - if you're going to kick someone out its the right thing to do.....good luck! let us know how it goes! im sure you'll feel at least 100 lbs lighter

I would absolutely give the money back for EVERY cent they have put into my wedding and then some just to be safe ...Im not a mean person though Im sure my anger is making it seem that way ...The last 24 hours have been horrendous for both me and my family and you realize the good and bad of people in these times and this person is just a whole lot to self centered for me to handle and all I can see is my Wedding turning into a me me me thing and I dont want that ,,,,,,

I wouldn't begin to know how to handle this.........I think that if you offer her money for the dress it's a great start and more than fair. If she throws a tantrum, walk away!
You have enough to deal with without having to endure other peoples sh!t.

Something similar happened to FH a few weeks ago, and the first thing I asked him was, is this something you are going to regret? well, if its not then I would say just tell the person flat out what the situation is...I am sure that this is about more than just the wedding so if this is the time that true colors start coming out, now is the time to make sure this person isnt affecting your life anymore...just give back whatever money was paid out and have a clean break...HTH

First I am sorry that you are going through this. It is the last thing you need right now.
As long as you don't care about losing her as a friend (which it sounds like is not an issue) and you truly wont miss her on your day then I would just tell her straight out that you can't take her selfishness anymore and that she is no longer welcome at your wedding.
I do agree that you should give her back any $$ that she spent.

i think you have to go with your gut on this one & if your gut is convinced that you need to do this - than DO IT!!!
I'd probably ask if you could meet up with her somewhere & just tell her how you feel & that you really need to just put an end to it now insted of dragging out a friendship/bridesmaid relationship thing that is NOT going to last...
This is really rough...if ya wanna practice on me before ya do it - you know my numbers!

i agree, just be honest....you dont need this person in pictures that you'll look at for the rest of your life or standing there with you on one of the most important days of your life....i kept my bridal party small mainly for that reason - we wanted it intimate and i didnt want any regrets - we have our sisters and my best friend - thats it - and those are the kinds of people you want around you....and you are being kind by giving her the money back! trust me - you are being very generous!

Wow, sorry you are dealing with this sounds really hard. I would totally sit down with her and if you 2 can't come to some sort of solution I would do exactly as you say, take her out and finanically compensate her for her expenses. I mean if you have a gut feeling this person is going to hinder the most important day of your life I would totally fix this now especially since it's down to the wire.
