How do I get the 'okay' from my hall that I will be bringing in an outside vendor for the Chocolate Fountain

How do I get the 'okay' from my hall that I will be bringing in an outside vendor for the Chocolate Fountain

they want to charge me an arm and a leg.

They've already kind of ok'd it, but I wouldn't be surprised if they kind of jerked me over on it, trying to get me to get it through them.

any suggestions? I found it through another vendor, with all the dippings, for a MUCH better price (fully insured!).

I want to confirm that I CAN bring it in, without asking for 'permission' again. I think would also like it in writing that I would be allowed to have this vendor bring it in before I send this guy $$. I guess it's the same as having any other vendor come in, right?

I would tell them the price your getting it for and maybe they'll match it? Which would make it easier for you.

I don't kow if they'll let you cause that constitutes food and they are the caterers. It's like asking to bring in your own sushi for CH, ya know.

even if they match it (which they won't), it will still be more with what they're charging for tax and gratuity. Plus they charge more for the dippings. This place has an AWESOME price for the whole package! The thing is, they already gave me the okay... I just don't trust them. ugh...

I'd say, send them an email or just call and say that per your previous discussion, you are booking x and y and they will send forth their insurance info.

Just act as if they said it was fine and it'll be.
