How do I handle this?
Ok..Most of you already know I am very Bratty and Impatient.
Anyway.. I called my cousin over 6x and she never called me back.. My family always has something to say so I was trying to ask her to be in the bridal party with her son ASAP .. Didn't want her to think she was the last to be asked. This is how STUPID people think..
Anyway she never returns my calls or emails..
So I left her a message and asked her on her MACHINE..
Still haven't heard back from her.. BI***..
But she calls my mother to see when can she go see her so she can get her gifts.. Mom spoils her still at 29 bc she is MOMS godbaby..
Mom says did you get Theresa's message.. She said YEa.. Mom said it would be nice to call her back. She said Yea when I have time.. Mom said Oh... Umm ok..
Mom said I am not getting involved...
Am I wrong to JUMP all over her when she calls me back?

Re: How do I handle this?
I wouldn't jump all over her, especially since you want her to be in your bridal party. I'd ask her to see what took her so long to get back to you. And that you were so excited to ask her and now a little upset that she didn't call you. Something like that, don't jump all over her. Good luck!

Re: How do I handle this?
I would recind the offer, if shes not going to get back to you to accept the offer, then how will she be when it comes time to try on dresses and fittings and bridal showers and so on!! You may be averting a bigger headache later by not having her in it at all

Re: How do I handle this?
Thanks Lauren.....
Figures that the only one besides MOH that is family is the one who gives me headaces..
All my other girls were Crying when I asked them.. Even over the phone.
I am holding off asking that one last GF.. She doesn't even wish me happy new year.. But up until I was engaged she was my BFF.. I have no tolerance for ignorance!!!

Re: How do I handle this?
Agreed with Suzanne, if it comes down to it, I wouldn't have her in it either.

Re: How do I handle this?
Thank your lucky stars that this happened - recind your offer and be happy you will not have to deal with her when it comes to the wedding. And only choose supportive people for the party.

Re: How do I handle this?
Dont jump all over her I guess, I'm trying to be diplomatic here b/c the truth of the matter, is that I would be so p-d off I wouldnt even want her in my BP anymore at all
But don't necessarily follow my example, I must have PMS lately

Re: How do I handle this?
Don't confuse ignorance with jealousy... which it seems is going on. I personally wouldn't bother with the cousin who doesn't seem to realize (or care) how important this is to you - my attitude would be that obviously you don't want the honor of being in my BP so therefore I won't give that honor to you. She's not doing you any favors!I can't stand wedding haters!!!

Re: How do I handle this?
I want to curse her out and tell her. I was SOOOOOOOOOO good to you when you were getting married. I did everything for you and you said I should have been your MOH and you made a mistake asking someone who lived in FL and didn't give a sh** about your day..I want to smack her for behaving like this.
We have a family full of Boys.. We are the only girls you would have thought that she would have been so excited for me..
Atleast have called me back..
She can drop dead and if she calls me today. BOY will I tell her off.. Nice la familia I have !!!

Re: How do I handle this?
Theresa, I would not ask her to be in the bridal party. You are setting yourself up for hearthache. You need people you can count on and depend on and she obviously is not that person.

She COULD have called me back.

Re: How do I handle this?
I agree, it's quite obvious that your best interests and happiness don't mean very much to her.I'm glad to see the other Brides agree w/my pov. I was trying to be nice before

Re: How do I handle this?
I agree with Stef and the other girls here. It is crucial that you surround yourself with love and goodness and support on your wedding day. Choosing a flake or choosing someone who doesn't really want to be a part of your big day will only lead to heatbreak and a huge family fight. I realize a lot of times people feel obligated to include certain family members, but Theresa, if they can't even give you the respect of returning your phone call....what can you expect from her on your wedding day?

Re: How do I handle this?
JMO, but if she can email you, then she has time to call you even for 5 minutes. I agree with the other girls, she should give you more support and this is only the beginning!

Re: How do I handle this?
It's your call- Theresa.I have no patience for that kind of stuff, the very reason why I chose NOT to have bridesmaids because I knew I would encounter headaches of some sort.
Let us know what you decide.

Re: How do I handle this?
I would rather not make myself look like a maniac but in so many wordsI TOLD HER OFF..
I said not so calmly..
How dare you treat me like this after all the time, love, support and $$ I put into your wedding when I was only 20..
Don' t you dare try to explain and insult me. You could call my mother to get your gifts but you couldn't call me to say YES NO. Whatever..
I said We are born with who are family is. UNFORTUNATLY,.. Thank god I can pick good friends! I refuse for you to make me feel not good enough.. Don't play me for a ****a... I will have a happy marriage.. Sorry you don't......
I said for the NEw year I won't be bothered with people who don't care about me... My old friend who can't be my friend bc I have a ring is CUT and soon to be my OWN FAMILY will be too...
I have a friend who was a friend of mine and Ronnies and when we asked her she cried so hard and said I love you POOH ( thats what they call me) I will be honored....
Some people should never get out of bed!

Re: How do I handle this?
Theresa I agree with most of the girls here, at this point I know she did email you when she was good and ready with the family sick or not sick if would of taken her 2.2 seconds to email you, therefore you really need to ask yourself if you want her to be in your bridal party at all.Take this from an old married woman
when planning the wedding, everything is time sensitive and you need your wedding party to be reliable, I know she has accepted, but just be warned something to this nature WILL happen again. Good Luck. Welcome New Vendors
