How do I make table numbers?

I might sound like an idiot, but what exactly do I do to make a pretty table number? Are there tricks in MS Word?

I was trying to change the fonts to something more calligraphy or script like using MS Word.

this was our table card.... we use names instead of numbers

If you just want numbers, go to word, pick a font and change the font size to an extra large one. Then pick a color- that's what I did and I love the way they came out.

we named our table, but just look through fonts, Edwardian script has nice numbers and add a border or a frame

Thanks girls. I def.want to do numbers, not name tables, and I want something more than just a number. Maybe something fancy like our first names overlapped by his last name initial. How do I do that?
