From my old computer onto a CD so I can add it to my new computer?
I thought I was able to do it, but it didnt work??

No, you can't do that. A program (typically)has to be reinstalled, so you need to have the original installation CD or installation files.

yeah I thought so...
We had Dell jukebox on our PC and we had a ton of songs saved, I dont know how to transfer it. IT was installed on our COmputer when purchased so we do not have a start up disc...
I am just having trouble getting files saved too from 2-3 programs on old PC that I NEED to transfer.

Well you can probably transfer the songs themselves no problem. You just need to find where Jukebox stores them (My Music?).
One is a Watermill prgram which I downloaded the prgram to the new PC but I need all the info(addresses etc) that are saved on old PC, and ones a fertility software program...I downloaded it to the new PC, but I cant figure out how to save the data on the original one to transfer.

Hmmm...that's a little tougher. If either of the two programs let you do a file|open or an import, I would copy over the program folder from the c:\program files directory on your old computer and put it in different folder on your new pc then try to have the software open files from the new directory.
I hope that makes sense!

lets not hope its a really good program and say when it installs, it puts in info to the registry...
burn (on the old computer) the folder where it is in program files... take that cd to the new machine and copy the folder to the new program files on the new computer
