how do i take away

His Binky?? (pacifier).... I wanted to take it away at 6 months, but it was just too hard.. I feel like such a bad mommy.. but he still has such an attachment to it. I just Hate the way 3y-o's looks with it in their mouths!!!!!!!!! I need to take this out of his routine now.. HOW!!!

He often wakes up in the middle of the night (like hes having a bad dream or something) and is soothed only by the bink... HELP!

Don't they have something that you can put on there to make it taste bad like bitter apple?

I had TWO! I had one in my mouth...and kept one tucked sideways under my nose and above my lip! Can you IMAGINE?!?!? To this day, I sleep with my lips like this...

My mom didn't take them away until I was 1 1/2. She arranged it with the garbage man that he would stand there while she expained why it was time to let them go.

How about gradually 'losing' it? Like 'Hmmm. I wonder where the binky went? It must be lost.' And then finding it after a certain amount of time. And every day it's missing for a little longer until one day you just don't 'find' it at all? I haven't tried this method myself, but I know a few people that it worked for! Good Luck!!
