How do I word these invites??

How do I word these invites??

Okay.. im going to try to make a long story short.

Both my FH & I are paying for our ENTIRE wedding.

FH's parents insist on having their names on the invitations (due to old school family tradition & the 'respect' factor. Honesly, I dont mind having their names on my invites at all, however being in the situation i am in, the wording of the invites get tricky at this point:

now..

My parents are sperated. (And have been for 6 years) My father is still bitter about it, so not only have I not spoken to him for years, He will not be attending my wedding. (Yeah I know, horrible, isn't it?? ) But whatever... thats a whole story in itself... Anyway, I'm adding my mothers name on the invite, but was thinking of adding his name anyway, to indicate who I am 'the daughter of'

I was going to indicate it just like this:

ex: Janie BlaBla, daughter of

Mr. Ireally Hatetheworld
& Mrs. Xwifeof Ihatetheworld

They arent divorced, however, since they still technically have the same last name, I figured that I would put them on seperate lines.

My question is this: Should I keep his name on my invites since I am only indicating who I am the daughter of , or
should I just not put his name on it at all, say fugg him and keep it off-afterall, He is not coming to my wedding.

If this is not confusing, i dont know what is...

Thanks for your help with this...

I am in a similar situation as you....we are paying for the wedding (me &FH) but because of old school tradition we put: Together with their parents...blah blah blah....no questions asked if they are married, divorced or separated...my parents are separated too.....

Omg Janie, I'm so sorry that your father is being like that!! I would leave him off the invite altogether, if he can't bring himself to attend your wedding then he doesn't deserve the honor of being included on your invitation. List your mother, you are her daughter. And besides, you're the bride, I don't think you need much to distinguish who you are, everyone should already know.

If you decide to put both your parents name...put them on seperate lines.

If you decide not to include your father (I would do it anyway out of respect even though he sorta doesn't 'deserve' it according to your post) - Just put mom's name on her own.
